Diminished Value???29 Mar 2007 15:23 GMT1
I didn't know you could collect for the reduced market value of your car
after an accident repair, but the articles at www.claimsreporter.com say you
can.  I know most people will not buy a car with a bad Carfax unless it's
offered at a big discount.  Anyone else know about this ...
Targa Cabriolet conversion28 Mar 2007 08:22 GMT7
Hi,
I know squat about Porsche's but have always wanted one for
fun weekend driving, in particular a cab.  This pretty much
mandates not spending a whole lot of money.  I've come across

the cable is broken because i feel tension and the battery is fine.

aftermarket audio in 996 w/CD?20 Mar 2007 15:57 GMT5
Okay, I pick up my '99 Carrera coupe in a couple of days.  It's got the
optional CD player, with the CD's loading in the trays below the receiver
controls, in front of the shifter.
I see plenty of aftermarket receivers which will fit without modification
"Porsche Cayenne better than ever on road or off"20 Mar 2007 04:01 GMT2
Porsche Cayenne better than ever on road or off
Do not underestimate this vehicle's off-road capabilities. Even with
road-friendly tires this Porsche can climb some pretty rugged back
country.
Audi R8 vs 91119 Mar 2007 02:11 GMT4
...the magz (latest issues of Car/Driver and Road/Track) are raving about
it, how it's a 24/7 driveable supercar - in the middle of a ferrari and
porsche territory
ok.
sort of recent (98-03) 911 choice?18 Mar 2007 22:01 GMT3
Hi group,
I'm getting a new car in a few months, and a Carrera has been near the top
of my list the whole time.  I've sadly decided that two things will keep
an '07 911 out of my garage for now: price and practicality .I can't

Porsche's going to have to step it up if they want to dominate GT2; Ferrari
is clearly ready to play - finally.
The Porsche Boxster Engine Access15 Mar 2007 15:45 GMT5
About the Porsche Boxster Engine accessibility or lack of it rather.  I
wrote Porsche in their Headquarters in Germany and Atlanta GA that they
seriously needed to design the car that will replace the Boxster a car
that will have engine access so said owners will actually be able to
Should I cover my Porsche12 Mar 2007 18:04 GMT4
I sometimes move my Porsche out of the garage on hot days so the kids
can play in the garage.  I also want to prevent the occasional bump
and scratch that may occur when people are walking through the garage
cause that's where my washer and dryer are.   I was considering a car
Window stuck in down position09 Mar 2007 09:53 GMT4
The passenger window on my 2001 996 is stuck in the down position. I
suspect it can be reset somehow. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks
Double-clutching.07 Mar 2007 22:50 GMT1
I'm the new owner of a 6-yearold 911.  From my earlier experience with a VW
and an old Chevy truck, I learned that double clutching, both up and down,
helped.  Now I'm not so sure.  The 911 seems to have syncromesh in first
gear.  Is double clutching helpful, or just an ...
