| I'm having a blonde day! | 18 Mar 2004 20:24 GMT | 4 |
Just a quick question. The turbo on my 'h' reg 9000, when I put my foot down (which isn't often.........I've driven it a few times since I bought it 2 weeks a go and I am NOT heavy footed as a rule, if at all) the turbo whistles in and then suddenly loses power. Is this what usually ...

| C900 Power Steering issue | 18 Mar 2004 18:09 GMT | 1 |
my '85 900S (8 valve) has a power steering problem, mostly when turning the wheel to the right. It is most noticable right after I first start it (i.e. backing out of the driveway into the street feels as if no power steering at all). Very quickly it seems to "turn on" when

After years of reliable starts, my 900s SPORADICALLY will not start. There is no pattern to when it happens. It will turn over fine, but not start. No hit or indication, no gas smell or any other obvious problem. My mechanic has not resolved. Does anyone have suggestions that I can ...

| Tyres for my toy ! | 18 Mar 2004 02:58 GMT | 2 |
What tyres would you recommend for a Saab 9-3 Sports Coupe 200HP (5 years old, Pre Aero) on 16 inch 205/50 3 spoke Saab alloys. I am considering Michelin Pilot and Alfa Romeo Eagle F1 and I am open to any other suggestion.

Home Mechanic and Saab buffs: Can anybody out there help me? My 1995 900 SE failed inspection for emissions, (CO & HC levels) and when I took it to me local guy, he said I needed a new air pump and valves to correct the problem. He also says that parts will cost me $520 US and

about 2 weeks ago i dropped my car off at a commuters lot. on my way there, the car started smoking (white) and stalled a couple of times. i had to keep the RPMs up to avoid the stalling. eventually the car would barely move and the smoke got worse. i just made it into a parking ...

can someone define the steps necessary to reactivate the radio after a battery replacement. I do not get the "Code In" prompt when power is turned on, only four "-". I hold the band key and finally get the "Code in" prompt where I enter my security code. Unfortunately it reverts ...

| Puzzler | 16 Mar 2004 22:34 GMT | 2 |
OK, here's one for you to think about: 1988A Saab 9000i The locking knob on my rear right door froze up so bad I couldn't move it with all my brute force, and the central locking fuse blew. I removed the

| Hatchback locking mechanism | 16 Mar 2004 21:14 GMT | 1 |
My 97 9000 Aero seems to be having a problem staying unlocked when I press the chirper. I'll hear it click open but it seems that the weight of the hatch is then enough to relock it before I can actually lift the door. I have to chirp it while applying upward pressure to open the ...

| Full Beam draining engine Power | 16 Mar 2004 08:03 GMT | 3 |
Not sure if this has happened to anybody else but when i use the full beams on my 87EMS Saab it is (i believe) cutting power from the engine. This is especially apparent when i drive away from a standing stop as the car shudders on takeoff. (well it is a saab :) ) Its
