| Saab 9-5 Aftermarket Stereo? | 14 Mar 2004 20:34 GMT | 1 |
My stereo in my '99 9-5 is broken and I was wondering what aftermarket options anyone knows of. The local stereo shop said that no companies make a cage for the car and they would have to make a custom harness for the stereo to stick into the car with (I.E. cost a lot of money).

Has anyone had the dash light warning "Check engine" appear before ? My 94 900NG has just lit this one up and I wondered if I should be very worried, or just need to get it looked at soon ? The car drives as per usual as well...

| Quick update on the brakes that failed the MOT. | 14 Mar 2004 11:11 GMT | 2 |
This morning, steam cleaned the original Claiper that I took off 8 months ago, and inspected it. Looked OK, apart from the piston dust shield had a couple of small holes in (mainly in the folds of it).

| 1999 - 9-3 Shifter Play | 14 Mar 2004 07:03 GMT | 1 |
99 9-3 developed a bit of "play", in the shifter. For example, if I drive on a country road, it vibrates quite a bit, or if you go over a spped bump. If I try to measure how much play it actually has, I'd say less than 1".

| Saab 900 rims | 14 Mar 2004 04:53 GMT | 4 |
Used Saab 900 aluminium 3 spoke rims. Super condition aero style original from Saab dealer. They wont fit a Saab 9000 or other it will only fit the years 1984- 1994. I'm asking $250.00 price is negotiable. The Saab dealer has them for a high price think about it.

| SID - again | 13 Mar 2004 23:07 GMT | 1 |
OK, the foam rubber repair on my SID is starting to fail, I've got one line out again. (99, 9-5) I was wondering if anyone around has a SID that's a mess that they'd like to donate to the cause of finding a real way to repair these silly things. I

| 900 turn signal latch | 12 Mar 2004 20:51 GMT | 3 |
What part do I need to fix the turn signal latching on an '88 900? Someone mentioned the procedure before but nobody ever told me what part is needed. I found the switch online but it's very pricey, do I have to replace the whole switch?

Just got a 1990 saab 9000 2litre turbo. It's due an oil change, the receipt from the last service mentiones "(silver) 10w40". 10w40 seems fine by the book but if this "silver" is a brand name it's

| Octagonal rear tyres - how/why? | 12 Mar 2004 06:13 GMT | 4 |
My 9-5 (year 2000, 78,000 miles/125,000km) has been giving some vibration for a while. I had the rear tyres balanced, discovered that there was a ding in the ALU22 rear rim, so I took that to be replaced and have the rear balanced again.

| Used saab 9-5 w/ 95k miles... suggested service? | 12 Mar 2004 00:04 GMT | 2 |
I just purchased a used '99 Saab 95 with 95000 miles on it. There are no service records for it and I have done some of the easy services (changed oil, oil filter, gas filter). Any suggestions on what else should be done? The car also has the common reverse problem... (tranny

| Sudden whistle, where does it come from? | 11 Mar 2004 14:56 GMT | 2 |
My '99 9-3 FPT was behaving strangely yesterday. When I came to work yesterday, I noticed that I'm lacking turbo boost in higher rpms. Not much, but enough to notice it. Turbo meter needle went up to low red's in 3000-4000rpm like it has used to, but in higher rpms it

| SAAB 9-5 Clonk from front. | 11 Mar 2004 05:28 GMT | 1 |
I was wondering if any one has experienced this, I have a Oct 97 SAAB 9-5 2.3 Eco (UK), and when ever I go to accelerate normally from a standing start or slowly after making a turn, I hear and feel a clonk through the steering wheel. The dealer tells me that early 9-5's where known ...

| 1992 9000CD Radio Equalizer | 11 Mar 2004 01:00 GMT | 3 |
Anyone have an extra Radio Equalizer for my 1992 9000CD with one CD in it. The part number is 0247528. The radio plays only on very low volume and when I install another equalizer from my other 1992 9000 Griffen Edition the radio plays normal, so I think it is bad.
