| [Saab_c900] When was APC introduced in the Saab 900's? | 29 Jun 2004 23:35 GMT | 25 |
Here in Sydney (Australia) the local service station has, as of this week, stopped selling lead-replacment petrol (aka LRP) and it's being phased out by most oil companies in Australia over the next 12 months. BP, who supplies the service station I prefer to use, is now selling it's

The central locking on my 9000CDE has just started to blow fuses. Problem started with no warning - I just tried to open the doors one morning and found that the central locking wasn't working. I checked and found that the fuse had blown. If I replace the fuse it will work fine ...

| Check engine, lambda and air mass meter. | 29 Jun 2004 09:58 GMT | 1 |
I would be glad if anyone could point me in some sort of direction here. I bought a 900 from 91 three years ago, then the Check enginge light was on most of the time. Don't remember all turns, but engine-idle-speed was up and down and sometimes it stopped. Changed the lambda-sond ...

| 9-3 Stereo Upgrade | 28 Jun 2004 16:25 GMT | 2 |
I just bought a 2004 Saab 9-3 with the basis stereo. It is very weak and in fact the sound from the rear speakers is an embarrassment! The upgraded Saab stereos come with an additional amp and a pair of 4x6 speakers in the rear.

I remember reading about a TSB on cleaning the oil trap on the early 9-5's that cause a blue puff on startup. My 9-5 has started to do this, but I can't find the docs on what to do about it. I took the car to the dealer, they told me that the turbo is starting to go

| Trailer Hitch on 2004 9-3 Aero | 27 Jun 2004 12:28 GMT | 7 |
After trying the roof mounted bike racks a couple times, it seems that the trailer hitch mounted carrier is a better setup. How easy is it to mount the trailer hitch on an Aero (rear bumper skirt)? The catalog says "dealer installation recommended," but is it something I can do ...

| thud when braking in reverse (and I didn't run over the cat!) | 26 Jun 2004 10:17 GMT | 12 |
My darling 900 T16 '87 announces my arrival whenever I pull up anywhere with a nifty parallel park as, as I brake for the first time when stopping reversing I get a klunk from somewhere near the n/s/f wheel. it doesn't do it again until I drive forward, brake, and then brake in ...

| Howcome the 1998 Saab 9-5 wasn't available in the US? | 26 Jun 2004 05:10 GMT | 11 |
I'm in the market for a used car and my budget is $12,700 and my dad will also let me trade in a beatup old 1994 Lincoln Town Car with 250,000 miles on it. If the 1998 Saab 9-5 was available in the US, it would probably be the
