| Shift Up Light | 27 Aug 2004 03:04 GMT | 22 |
What controls the idiot light on my dash that tells me to "shift up" (manual transmission on 900se turbo)? Is it simply engine rpm or something else? If I shift up when it says to, the car knocks and pings and loses power.

I want to buy a used car(either a 2002 Saab 9-5 Linear Sedan or a 2001 Volvo S80). My parents on the other hand are trying to get me to save my money and drive one of their older 2000 Lincoln Town Cars.

| Oh no! Not the Heater Core! | 27 Aug 2004 03:00 GMT | 6 |
Well, my 600$ 900 S has been relatively trouble free for the past two months since I bought it. But lo and behold, there is a green pond in the backseat. Luckily, I have a parts car and have spent the last three hours removing everything. (well it seemed like that after taking off ...

I have a black, 3 door, 1993 (UK K Reg) 900 S Aero LPT with 140,000 miles on the clock. The bodywork is in excellent condition apart from surface rust on the interior of the passenger door, and few minor stone chips on the bonnet. It has a full leather interior, electric windows ...

| Bent Alloy Rim | 26 Aug 2004 12:02 GMT | 5 |
Any advice on what to do with a bent Saab alloy rim? (be nice) The outer edge was split away from the main rim body also. Local shop says they can weld it back and re-round the rim for about $200. It's off my 1997 900 SE Turbo model. I've tried one local

| Coil Pack | 25 Aug 2004 14:46 GMT | 3 |
My 99 9-5 wagon (2.3 turbo) had a coil pack meltdown in Winnemucca NV about 4 weeks ago. According to the mechanic, the place he bought the part says this is a quite common part to fail. Are there any symptoms that I should be aware of? Anything else it may be indicitave of?

| Stubborn Antenna Mast | 24 Aug 2004 13:55 GMT | 5 |
I've read all the threads on here about replacing the antenna mast. They all say "just slide the old mast out and feed the new one in". I've tried that, numerous times, however the old mast won't just slide out. I can see the old chrome sleeve at the bast of the mast, and

| 2003 9-3 linear seats | 24 Aug 2004 11:54 GMT | 2 |
We are looking at a low mileage 9-3 linear with the launch package. Plan on using it for long trips. The front seat is not as comfy as my 9-5 wagon. Does anyone else have that problem? Can the seats be traded out? The 9-3 aero's are definitely more comfortable.

| snapped off shift lever | 24 Aug 2004 02:56 GMT | 2 |
My Saab 900S looses clutch fluid and the clutch then won't engage. I was on a hill with the car in gear the last time it happened. I tried to force the shifter out of gear and succeeded in breaking the shift lever itself. The cable for Reverse runs through it and is in tact.. How do ...
