Saab 9000 Carlsson30 Sep 2004 18:09 GMT11
I have just bought a  1993 9000CS Carlsson (at least thats what the badge on
the car says, the registration document does not mention the Carlsson bit at
all).
I have noticed that the turbo boost pressure goes completely off the scale
rough idling 9000CSE 199230 Sep 2004 18:03 GMT3
My 9000CSE has just started having this fault, when I have the engine at
idle it sits at about 1200RPM then goes up to 2000RPM then after a couple of
seconds drops back to about 900RPM then repeats this going up and down after
a couple of seconds. I had it serviced a week ago as the ...

It appears that mine is going.  Car has 100K on it.  It's making a blue puff
on startup and has recently started knocking alot when the car is getting
warmed up.  The dealer said that the seals on the turbo were going and it
would need to be replaced.

I've just purchased the 9000CS turbo model and it has a few things wrong,
like the above. Accompanying it is the (apparently) noisy clock (by the way,
I don't see those for sale, assuming this one's defective at all).
The 2nd-to-3rd upshift point also seems a bit late, and so, the ...

2001 Sabb Aero 9-5 stalls - dealer stumped, turbo question too29 Sep 2004 02:00 GMT4
I have a 2001 turbo - with a sport ?S? button - for a long time the turbo
meter did not operate unless the ?S? button was pressed and active on the
dash - now the turbo meter is always active (upon acceleration the needle
moves across the meter when the sport button is not pressed). ...
2004 9-5 "Clunk"29 Sep 2004 01:55 GMT3
My wife's car has only 15000 miles on it and has developed a clunking sound
when cruising at about 35mph, then letting off gas and then accelerating
again. The clunk can be heard and also felt in the steering wheel.
Took car to dealer and they had to call Saab tech support who ...

I have a 1995 900SE convertible and I need to replace the radio.  I
currently have the traditional cassette radio with the six CD changer
in the trunk.  I would like to replace it with a newer model radio
that has the single cd player built into the head unit.  Can anyone

Sometimes when I try to start the car, I can hear the click of power going

the power and then turn on the starter again, and it will start. Sometimes

9000CSET, death of a clutch27 Sep 2004 16:13 GMT13
On the way home my clutch died. I shifted into 1st and the clutch pedal
didn't return. I had a 88 9000S that did the same. What a sinking feeling
(literally). D?j? vu all over again. Fortunately I was able to pull over and
park. Since I couldn't get it out of gear I had to stall the ...
9-3 (1998) fascia question27 Sep 2004 13:30 GMT3
Before I start prising the joins and wrecking the plastic, does anyone
know the least damaging way to get behind the fascia panel that holds
the heater knobs on the old 9-3.  I need to do something about an
inoperative air blower speed control on my non-A/C 9-3 TD
