Saab 9000 brakes and turbo23 Sep 2004 17:28 GMT13
Hey, I'm trying to change out the rear pads on my 91 9000 and can't get the
cylinder depressed with my trusty "C" clamp.  Is there a secret to this?
Also, my turbo suddenly quit on me the other day.  The needle still moves
slightly (and the APC fuse is intact) but there's no power ...
Free CD Changer23 Sep 2004 13:49 GMT6
I have a Clarion ProAudio DC625 6-disk CD Changer up for granbs. It came
out of my totalled 1995 Saab 900. (How a Mazda Miata can total a Saab
900 is still a bit confusing to me. :-)   It was only used about three
months and it is in great shape.
Anybody speak French ?23 Sep 2004 08:01 GMT5
Need some help with a translation from some of your worldly Saabers
who understand the inferences of the language:
"cote du stationnement jours impairs"
I've got "parking odd days" but what is the rest of it ? Parallel
99/c900 Clutch Spacer Tool?22 Sep 2004 23:40 GMT17
OK, so I'm working on the 99 Turbo, and need to pull the engine.
Stipulate long painful story involving loud noises, conencting rod
bolt, and gush of oil.  The clutch spacer tool makes the job
so much easier, but I don't have one.

Evening fellas..
I have a 92 C900 na that would appear to need a clutch.  Are there any
special tools or jigs needed for this job?  I have the "Bentley" book, for
what it's worth.  Having just recently discovered that the heads are using
Decissions, Decissions, what to do.22 Sep 2004 22:36 GMT6
As regulars will know, I have the 900 up for sale.
It's currently uninsured and I could really do with the space but....
The missus wants me to get rid, but I really love it. If needed I could
probably find some where to store it, if forced, but it is currently

How hard is it to replace a slave cylinder on an 87' saab 900S?22 Sep 2004 17:16 GMT7
How hard is it to replace a slave cylinder on an 87' saab 900S.?  It looks
to be a bolt on/torqued on part?  Any help would be appreciated.. I'm
possibly thinking of buying one off a guy and would rather not have to tow
it back to my home to finish repairs.
HELP! My Saab "Eats" Wheels and Tires!22 Sep 2004 16:09 GMT2
My '99 9-3 SE "eats" wheels & tires. In the 3 years that I've driven
the car I've had to replace 5 wheels due to the wheels becoming bent or
warped;  have had 2 tire blowouts and several tires develop "slow
leaks".
Running Lights22 Sep 2004 14:57 GMT5

I have purchased a 2000 Aero  with 100k miles but has been beautifully
maintained.
Whoever had been running it, was operating (illegally) without running
Mystery slot on 97 900se22 Sep 2004 14:48 GMT4
It's a little slot for something to slide into.  It's located on the
drivers side door compartment.  I noticed it today while doing a
thorough cleaning.  What is it?

280 Bhp in Saab 9-3 from next year.21 Sep 2004 22:09 GMT9
Read in the paper today that Saab next year will release a newly developed
V6-engine, for the Saab 9-3. It will be turbocharged and have 280 Bhp.
There'll also be non-turbo versions. The engine will also be used by Opel
and Alfa Romeo.
ZX1 in a 9000 turbo21 Sep 2004 21:44 GMT10
Anyone else used this oil additive which promises enhanced performance, and
most importantly increased fuel consumption?
I used some 8 years ago in a Vauxhall Corsa Turbo Diesel and it worked a
treat! (MPG up 10%)  Is it likely to cause me problems in my 8 yr old 9000
