I'm not a Saab owner, let me get that out first. I'm working on a project and an trying to find out what version/years/models of the 99 and 900 B motor got a double row timing chain. From what I've been able to tell, some got one, some got the other,

The thing I keep hearing about Saabs in general is the hefty repair costs. Does this apply also to the GM-manufactured models? Thank you for any and all replies.

There was a thread here a couple of months ago about hazard lights on 9000's only working when the indicators were switched on. I also had this problem at the time on my '96 9000CSE - the hazard lights didn't work unless the ignition was turned on and the right indicator

Twice in the last 1000 miles, my 2001 Saab 9-3 SE AT (49.3K miles) stalled while on a highway. On both occassions, I was starting to speed up sligthly after slowing down for congestion ahead -- approx 40 mph when it stalled. What made things worse is that the car wouldn't

It's MOT day for the Saab 9000 CS Aero Turbo. My wife calls this car 'the money-pit' but it's the best car I have ever driven. Hazard lights have packed up, ABS light comes on intermittently, washer bottle leaks, rear wiper stopped, ....what else will they find? First owner of this ...

Had the car (1997) for a bout two months.. and I'm getting the message on startup and running. At first it was intermittent.. now it's always there. Handbook isn't very helpful.. WhatI'd like to know is.. could it be serious? is it likely to be serious?

I've been offered a great deal on a set of 9000 fog lights (from someone on Ebay). The seller says they're from a '91 CDE and I've got a '93 CS... Anyone know if they would fit? He also mentions "no backing brackets

I just bought a new old 9-5 (2001) in Montreal, Canada, where the winter is not so gentle. I am considering spraying the underside with a winter protectant -- standard protocol for winter rust-prrofing. Is it worth doing this? Or is the orginal rust proofing good enough?
