99 9-5 Too Hot!10 Sep 2004 00:31 GMT5
My daughters 99 9-5 lost the plug in the radiator along with all the
antifreeze.  The car got very hot before she found a place to pull
over.  Now that the plug has been replaced, it is hard to start and
does not have much power.

Some nice person at uk.rec.motorcycles pointed me here.
OK, I'm disposing of my 9000CSE. A brand new Primera 2.2 diesel beckons.
Yeah, I know, I know.

9-3 radio and climate control illumination09 Sep 2004 21:05 GMT2
The illumination on my 1999 9-3 has a problem - the entire instrument
panel illumination works perfect, except the radio and the climate
control, which are completely dark at night with the lights on.  The
small orange light that tells you there is a CD in the CD player DOES
they don't make them like that any more...09 Sep 2004 08:36 GMT2
I'm referring to the rear bumpers on my 93' 9000 CSE. The bumpers are incredibly
strong with the shock absorbing concertina sections. Went off the motorway
junction as usual. There is a roundabout above the motorway with several traffic
lights. The last traffic lights weren't ...

Bad SAAB day08 Sep 2004 17:20 GMT7
Greetings one and all,
Well, this has been an unhappy day for me and the Green Machine.
My 92 900S (2.1L, non-turbo, 5-speed)decided to start having issues.

Oil plug gasket..08 Sep 2004 13:53 GMT5
This is actually sortof a Subaru question, but on my SAAB's for years
I've been reusing the copper washer when I do oil changes. I think that
SAAB recommends a new one every time right?
On the Subaru it's a crushable washer that starts at 0.080-0.083 and
FYI - newer 9-5 Keys work on older 9-5 models08 Sep 2004 10:31 GMT2
I lost one of my keys and the remote-opener for my 99 9-5, the one with a
separate key and remote-opener.  I had seen the single key/remote for the
2001 model year and wondered if it would work with my older car.
I bought one on eBay, had it cut to work with my car and then ...

Hi all, just hoping someone can tell me how to change the brakes on a 1998
Saab 9-5.
Cannot find a manual anywhere, so if somebody could help. I would appreciate
it.
Technical question -- cup holders?07 Sep 2004 17:34 GMT4
Just got rid of my Volvo 240 (no cup holders) for a 1992 Saab turbo
convertible (no cup holders again!). Any suggestions? Does Saab make them?
The generic ones that hang over the door and into the window housing don't
seem to fit. Need a place for my Dunkin Donuts coffee...
Cruise on 9000CSE07 Sep 2004 17:09 GMT15
I have a weird problem with the cruise control on my 9000CSE (1994). The
whole thing works fine when the outside temperature reaches about 22 degrees
Celsius (about 72 degrees Fahrenheit), or direct sunlight for a longer
period of time. I have checked all of the components, replaced ...
