I noticed that # 3 vacuum hose running off the heater/ac vacuum distributor
was disconnected. I am unable to locate where it connects. I do get air from
all selections except from the max setting on the distributor. Am I correct

Clearing "Time for Service" message 2000 9506 Sep 2004 18:08 GMT4
Does anyone know how to clear the "Time for Service" display?  the Manual
says to press clear and hold for up to 8 seconds, and a chime will sound.  I
hold it forever, no chime, and next time it is started the message is back.

Toasted Brakes?05 Sep 2004 17:39 GMT5
My 1998 900S developed a smell last time I drove it and I traced it to
the back wheel that was VERY hot. Is this a common failure mode of the
brakes? Can anyone explain that. I was expecting a grinding or squealing
 when they failed.
Tightening Cylinder head?05 Sep 2004 17:15 GMT8
Having read some of the recent posts, I went to check the head of my
1996 9000 Aero. They were not finger tight but were quite easily torqued
up a bit with a torque spanner, and nothing like the force needed to
give them that extra 90 degrees. I usually have to put the jack handle
Head Gasket05 Sep 2004 17:09 GMT9
Hi, Took my 2001 Saab 9-3se in for a scheduled 70 000km service yesterday. I
was shocked when they told me that the head gasket is leaking and would
probably need to be changed amounting to a cost over 1000 euros. They
suggested first to try tightening the head bolts and if it still ...

most of the plugs pins and boots, I've got the wire. It's an 85 900 4dr.

9000 side mirror stopped working02 Sep 2004 20:37 GMT1
Due to an over zealous parts man who tried to prise the mirror glass
from the cowling with screw drivers. The left/right function no longer
works the up/down is ok.
Is the mirror unit kaput or is there a simple fix for the problem ?
Manually Closing Sunroof02 Sep 2004 20:17 GMT3
Today my sunroof stuck open in the vent position.  The manual states it can
be manually closed using a screwdriver.  The 'screw head' does not look
normal.  Is there a trick to doing this?
Thanks,
Frost plugs02 Sep 2004 14:02 GMT2
I have a 1987 9000T with a leaking frost-plug.
None of my literature even mentions them, but I suppose the US might
have a funny word for them;-)
Does anyone know how to stop the leak or replace the plug please?
