900 Convert. top replacement31 Oct 2004 15:50 GMT1
Just thought I would share this. My convertible top was long in need of
repair. I was quoted at $3200 here in Minnesota at a local shop for
replacement and labor. Other people told me that they paid around
$3500-$4000 for theirs. That was too much for my taste. So I purchased
9000 CS low turbo boost31 Oct 2004 12:44 GMT2
I have a 9000 2.3 CS Carlsson turbo. The performance is poor probably
due to the fact that the turbo boost never rises above the base boost
level.
I have checked everything hat I can think of that is obvious....the APC
Psycho power window - a follow-up31 Oct 2004 10:29 GMT2
I asked for some advice in December 2003 under the subject "Power
Window with a mind of its own wants to open by itself - 89 900
Aero/SPG" and received lots of useful advice from exorcism to cleaning
the switch. I cleaned the switch (and swore at it a few times) and the

SAAB 9000 Gear Box30 Oct 2004 02:15 GMT2
I bought a 5 speed gear box for my 94 cde.  The label on the gear box
says FM-57001.  From what I understand it is from a LPT engine.  The
FPT version uses a gear box with FM57101 designation.  What's the
difference?

89 900T Battery drain problems28 Oct 2004 23:13 GMT1
I have an 89 900T Convt. For over a year and a half I have had a
horrible battery drain problem. For a while I used a battery cut-off
switch to some success, but then that did not even work, as while I was
driving the battery was not get re-charged. I brought the car into the
SAAB Help in indianapolis - Radio Removal28 Oct 2004 06:41 GMT5

Saab 99 questions and status27 Oct 2004 15:37 GMT4
Well, I'm getting the 99 Turbo back together, and have run into a couple
of questions.
1. What size nuts are used for the side and front engine mounts?  Are
these SAE thread rather than Metric maybe?
Mr. Molly engine oil additive?27 Oct 2004 13:35 GMT7
Looked at a '92 Saab 9000 non turbo 5 sp today. The owner, a mechanic
wants $1,800 for it. Got 213k miles and drove really nicely. Selling
it privately, in as is condition.
I have a concern. The oil looked weird... grey; and the owner - a
Average Turbo Engine life26 Oct 2004 21:29 GMT17
How long does a turbo engine last, in terms of milage?
I am considering buying a 2000 Saab 9-3 hatchback with 68K km's.  It
has a 2.0 Litre Turbo engine.
Also the lug nuts on the wheels are rusted.  A friend of mine told me
Flickering Dash And Headlights With Engine On26 Oct 2004 18:21 GMT5
I am being told there is a "light control," believed to be slim and silver,
located (somehow) behind the glove box that could be going out. But where
the glove box would customarily be I can see only air bag. Anyone know what
this part is (part #, too; so far I can't find that) ...
