9-3 Audio Upgrade: anyone has experience?08 Oct 2004 21:19 GMT2
People
I'm happy with my new 9-3SS 16v BUT the audio (basic system with two
front and two back speakers) really sucks.  Should have spent more
money to have at least the 7 speakers system.  I found in the Saab
9-3 front rotor change?08 Oct 2004 19:48 GMT6
I'm helping a friend with front rotors on his 2001 9-3 this weekend.
I've done pads on my '99 9-5, and they look like the same brakes so
no worries there, but:
How is the rotor held on the 2001 9-3?  What tool (torx?  something
900S shimmy08 Oct 2004 15:25 GMT4
My 1995 900S has had a noticeable (but not quite objectionable) shimmy starting
around 55 mph or so.  It tends to be worse at certain speeds; by cruising
slower or faster it almost disappears.  It is also worse when climbing hills or
accelerating.  Changing tires and balancing ...

Town And Country Miles07 Oct 2004 18:54 GMT19
Formerly, I was the proud owner of a '92 9k. Then the opportunity to
move away up to a 2000 9.5 Aero with all the toys and a HOT engine.
Surprisingly (maybe) my highway efficiency went up. I
got about 30.0 to 31.0 mpUSg  on the non turbo 9000 and am getting
Are you a Saab 'Classic' 900-series owner/enthusiast?07 Oct 2004 06:58 GMT11
Are you a Saab 'Classic' 900-series owner/enthusiast? Do you have a
passion for Saab 900's built between 1979 and 1993? Do you reside in
Australia or New Zealand?
If you answered 'yes' to any of these three questions, you should set

Squeaks and Rattles06 Oct 2004 21:02 GMT5
My 2004 9-3 just started developing some disappointing rattles.  The front
passenger seat rattles when it is not occupied, even on fairly smooth
roads.  The sun screen below the moonroof rattles when it is fully
retracted and the moonroof is closed.  The part on the B pillar where ...
MOT?06 Oct 2004 10:20 GMT9
Excuse me for being so ignorant; what is MOT that a lot of people in this
group speak of?

1995 Saab 9000 CDE V6 Timing Belt Went05 Oct 2004 23:33 GMT6
Yep, my very nice 9000 1995 just tossed the timing belt and the local
mechanic says at least some of the valves are bent.  It has about 89k on
it, I wish I would have changed at 75k. or even 88.5k.  I was looking
forward to running this car for quite awhile longer.
Antifreeze on floor, gas smell05 Oct 2004 01:57 GMT2
Have two problems with my '93 900: I found antifreeze on the floor of the
front passenger compartment and a gas smell especially after the tank is
filled. The car was involved in an accident earlier in the year and these
problems occurred since. The Saab Site mentioned a heater ...
How can I retrieve  service codes on 900S?05 Oct 2004 01:45 GMT4
Hi, my check engine light came on my 1996 Saab 900 with 79,000 miles on it.
Can I retrieve the service codes myself manipulating the ignition key like
you can do on GM cars? Thanks for all the help.
Soft top fluid05 Oct 2004 01:39 GMT1
Anybody knows where to find (else than the dealer) the convertible top
fluid for the Saab 9.3?
It's an Esso Univis HVI26 oil...
Thanks.

Anyone have any experience with leaky seals in a AC compressor?
Had to top off the freon twice in 3 weeks.
Shop man says compressor seals leaking slowly.
Very expensive repair job ($900).
