EXH light on '86 90030 Nov 2004 15:14 GMT4
I've got an '86 900 that I'll be driving until I get my 9-5 going again.
(long story, not important right now).  Most of the major stuff is fine,
but two strange things:
1. The EXH light in the dash cluster is on, solid.  Is this an O2 sensor
CD player for Saab30 Nov 2004 13:29 GMT2
My C900 has an aftermarket MP3/CD player that first started playing on one
speaker only, and then stopped altogether. I removed it, and the connection
in there is a rats nest, very difficult to troubleshoot for various reasons,
not least of which is the ratsy job done by the ...
Seatbelt extender for babyseat30 Nov 2004 03:37 GMT3
The rear seat belts are about 3 inches too short to go around our babyseat
and so only my wife can take the baby in her car.
Our saab dealer wants EURO 130 for a small extension that should allow the
belts to fit properly. Does anyone know a website that sells em cheaper or
9-5 Heating problem survey30 Nov 2004 00:23 GMT7
I've got a brand new 9-5 Aero, and I have a problem with the heating, but my
dealer seems to think everything is working normally.
When I have the heating on '27' the air that comes out is warm, but it is
not hot.

OK- I've googled the old messages but don't seem to find an answer to
fit my problem.  My '97 Saab 900Se'a alarm won't turn off.  I have
tried both key fobs and put new batteries in one to no effect.
It did it the first time 3 weeks ago. I was out and the key fob would

Saab 99 water pump thread?29 Nov 2004 15:21 GMT7
What is the thread on the water pump of a Saab 99?  Old style, and/or
new style.  I know it's left handed and metric, but before I order a tap
and die set for it, I'm hoping someone here can tell me definitively.
I have borrowed a water pump removal/insertion tool from our local
Replacing a 9-5 dashboard28 Nov 2004 21:06 GMT2
I bought a wooden dash to replace the plastic dash in my 9-5 SE (1998
model). I was wondering:
Who has experience with replacing the dash?
Is there a manual (for download) that describes this in laymans terms?

Help please - miscellaneous probs with '93 9000 CSE 2.0 LPT Part 127 Nov 2004 10:46 GMT3
I'd long had a fancy for a Saab. I first looked at one at a dealer's
about 10 yrs back. I remember sitting in a 9000 and thinking it was
rather large !
Anyway - my old vehicle was 'on the way out' so I had to replace it.
C900 - Rust27 Nov 2004 05:09 GMT3
I'm looking at a C900 in the morning. Is rust on the front wings normal
(seller said there's some on the phone) or is it indicative that there'll be
rust everywhere else?
1982 900T exhaust manifold gasket27 Nov 2004 02:12 GMT1
Putting my car back together after replacing the head. The head gasket set
has a heat shield and "asbestos" type exhaust manifold gaskets. I've
received conflicting advice on whether or not to use the asbestos bits. The
Saab manual shows only the heat shield. Any opinions? Thanks!
