Astroshield?16 Nov 2004 14:43 GMT9
Anybody familiar with Astroshield polish
(http://www.astroshield.com/)? I've heard some decent things about it,
even that they use it in the military and on the Disney World monorail
cars. My local store doesn't carry my old brand anymore, and they
99 or 900T header pipe?16 Nov 2004 10:43 GMT2
Question about exhaust systems for the 99 Turbo.  The header pipe is
... cheesy.  As in Swiss.  Talked to the Saab dealer, and the header
pipe for '78 to '80 has been discontinued.  The catalytic converter
on this car has a 45 degree bend on the front of it, which seems to be
That old CHECK COOLANT FLUID message16 Nov 2004 10:18 GMT3
Aero 9-5, 2002 vintage. This Check Coolant message appears very
occasionally, said fluid was indeed checked out to be ok. A search on
previous incidents of this has shown me the odd concerned message - in
particular several threads on something I'd rather avoid but have it
9-5 Brake pad recommendations?16 Nov 2004 02:32 GMT1
I'm going to have to replace the pads soon and I'm looking for something
that doesn't make near as much dust as the OEM pads.
I've got to clean my wheels once a week or they're a mess.
Is there anything that you've found that's a little bet better than the OEM?
Nova Scotia Report - 1993 aero TCS15 Nov 2004 02:53 GMT1

As many of the regular suspects will know I have recently picked up a 1993
aero 5 speed with a newly installed TCS (with cut switch). Living in
Halifax Nova Scotia Canada the first Snow/Slush storm has arrived today
removing B-engine water pump (no tool)14 Nov 2004 21:54 GMT2
Car: '78 99 Turbo, 2.0L B engine
I've got the car back together to the point of adding coolant, which
came right back out the "leak port" on the water pump.  So, I either screwed up
utting it together, or that seal I didn't ike the look of all that
900 T16 1989 Turbo problems14 Nov 2004 19:23 GMT12
I have a 1989 900 Turbo 16v with the following problem.
When driving away my Saab is lacking power. It used to deliver more power
when driving at low revs.
At low revs (2000 rpm) I hear the turbo spooling up, but it is not
Remove Power Steering Belt, '85 900?14 Nov 2004 08:23 GMT11

should NOT cut off the belt, please advise me!  Thank you.
900i '85 reverse light issue14 Nov 2004 06:00 GMT3
The reverse lights don't work and when indicating to the left,
the brake lights flicker in sync with the indicator.
Is this a common electrical problem with the 900i? I have a 1985
model. The fuses all seem fine.
Dim Displays13 Nov 2004 18:09 GMT1
Anyone come across this one :- I have a 93 Saab 2.2 TDi
2 years old - The problem is, the SID and the A/C display are sometimes very
bright and at other times are very dim, - this is not affected by the side
lights being put on or the speed of the car, any ideas?
9000 Transmission Decision13 Nov 2004 16:49 GMT3
So here's the problem...
At the beginning of the year I bought a 1998 9000 CSE 2.3T
"Anniversary". Very nice condition, 96000 miles.
Soon afterwards she developed a minor bump just before coming to a stop.
