Faulty Outside Air Temp Sensor?26 Dec 2004 03:57 GMT9
It shows cooler by 4-5 degrees, which translates to too warm in the cabin,
too often, when relying on the auto climate control. Now, is that typical,
for a new one too? I just have to live with it?

Gas Gauge Drops to Empty?24 Dec 2004 11:31 GMT7
I started my car this morning and everything was fine.  I drove about 10
miles and parked for about half an hour.  When I started my car again, the
fuel gauge rose to full (I'd driven less than 20 miles since the last
fill).  When I was pulling away from the parking lot, the ...
Mobile antenna23 Dec 2004 21:34 GMT4
I've got a 2001 9-3 convertible, aniversary model in Australia. They have
the short, stubby mobile antenna on the back RHS. Or at least mine did until
it was stolen. As I don't use the mobile in the car, I don't need to pay the
(Aussie dollar) $170 for a replacement, but ...

Alarm Troubles23 Dec 2004 17:58 GMT3
I have a 1999 Saab 93 SE 2 Litre Automatic.  Whenever there is really heavy rain or hail, the alarm goes off.  It's fine otherwise, but these last few evenings there has been heavy rain, and every 10 mins or so, the alarm goes off.  It comes to the point where I have to leave the ...
94 GM900S - Front end shake23 Dec 2004 16:41 GMT1
My 1994 GM900S has a front end shake. Some more info:
On the highway:
Doesn't happen all the time; comes and goes, but a weak undercurrent
seems to almost always be present.
Cost (UK) of regassing Aircon22 Dec 2004 19:12 GMT9
I just became the proud owner of a "posh" Saab, instead of the
bog standard 9000 S i used to drive
The one problem is that apparently the aircon needs regassing
Anyone know what the approximate cost of doing so is, or is
manual shifter linkage out22 Dec 2004 15:54 GMT2
My 900T all of a sudden the stick went limp, around and around.  I
managed to get  home using only one gear,a high one.  Clutch will not
engage fully except this one gear and won't go to neutral.  I'm pretty
sure from my VW problems that this is the shifter linkage or possibly
99 9-5 Hi-Beam22 Dec 2004 10:33 GMT5

good... Anyone experience this problem?
Thanks,
Newbie question21 Dec 2004 22:08 GMT7
Here's the deal- I commute about 135 miles a day (round trip) and need
something fairly comfortable for a 6' 2" guy.  I'm looking for something
reliable and capable of going 120,000 miles over the next five years or so.
I've always loved Saabs and have the opportunity to get a 99 ...
Happy Christmas!21 Dec 2004 19:36 GMT3
Don't know if this is "cool" or not but happy Christmas to the group, and to
all of you who have helped, informed and entertained me during my first
year's ownership of a Saab (9000CS)
Cheers!
Slave Cylinder Replacement 1988 model 90021 Dec 2004 16:41 GMT7
I am about to replace the slave cylinder on my 1988 model 900. It is
leaking and does not work. Does anyone know where I can purchase the
'special' tool that moves the pressure plate when the slave cylinder
won't. Or any ideas on fabricating one would be appreciated. I love
A/C20 Dec 2004 18:55 GMT6
this may appear to be a really dumb question but, never having A/C in a car
before here goes
I have been told that to keep the ac in good running order I need to
occasionally put the temp setting right down ( 15-16 ) in winter for a few

See http://www.iihs.org/vehicle_ratings/ce/html/0306.htm
Looks like SAAB did a good job engineering in crash safety.
