Been looking at the various parts places on the web and no one seems to have springs for an 87 9000t. Any help on this? John East-Central Wisconsin

| How many speakers? | 30 Jan 2005 14:17 GMT | 2 |
I am thinking if buying a 1999 9-3 LPT SE convertible (UK) 4 speakers are working but the 2 door speakers are not. Is that a fault or is it just the case that there is wiring and speaker grilles installed but no speakers as standard?

| 1995 Saab 9000 CDE - buy or not to buy | 30 Jan 2005 00:03 GMT | 8 |
I am interested in buying a 95 9000 CDE I found, but a trusted mechanic says that I should run from it...that the engine is garbage. Yet, it seems many people like this car. It's got 100,000 miles on it, and is only $3,750

| new cell phone commercial featuring a SAAB Convertable | 29 Jan 2005 15:49 GMT | 8 |
I won't give free press to the actual vendor of cell phones but I just saw this TV ad with some guys in a 900 convertible which seems to have crashed into, and more importantly, gotten stuck under the back end of a big rig- which is merrily making it's way down the freeway.

| 9-3 Aero Sat Nav Update needed. | 29 Jan 2005 09:01 GMT | 1 |
Just bought a 2003 9-3 Aero here in UK but want the Western Europe 2005 DVD to update the Sat Nav. Saab want to charge almost 300 GBP for one and Navtech say they won't supply an update. Cheeky question but I refuse to be ripped off:

| test drive of 05 9-3 linear | 29 Jan 2005 00:37 GMT | 6 |
Just got back from dealer (in US). Drove an 05 9-3 Linear 5-speed manual. Ride was nice. Turbo felt smooth when needed. However, I felt something kicking down at my right/accelerator foot. I couldn't quite see what it was, as it was dark. Felt like a loose panel maybe.

| Parts Question | 28 Jan 2005 11:36 GMT | 1 |
I would like to know what year vehicles use the same parts as a 1997 900 SE? We have a 900 SE Turbo that has been wrecked and wish to fix it. There are some 1996's and 1998's around for parts, before we go to the

I am new to the Saab world, having guided my daughter, 18 years old, when purchasing her first car. It now has about 122,000 miles (196,420 km) on it. She enjoys the car very much. We live in the Great Lakes region in the U.S.

| Timing Marks - '91 9000 CD 2.3L Turbo | 27 Jan 2005 19:17 GMT | 4 |
There are timing marks on the CAMS and bearing journal AND on the spoket and keyway. Wondering which ones to use? They seem to be a one tooth different. Any ideas?

| Dustless brake pads? | 27 Jan 2005 19:10 GMT | 16 |
My '02 9-5 Aero wagon has very nice-looking wheels, but you can never see them because they're always covered with grimy black brake dust. You can clean them off (a nearly-impossible job because the stuff sticks like glue) and within a few miles they're black again.

| questions about 9-3 oil changes | 27 Jan 2005 18:05 GMT | 12 |
Owner of a '99 9-3 CV here... I recently caused $500+ damage by changing the engine oil myself. I was cussing out the dealership the whole time while trying to remove a hopelessly siezed drainpan bolt. What should have taken 15 minutes turned into a 6 hour nightmare. The

| Biggest/oddest hauls? | 27 Jan 2005 09:08 GMT | 22 |
Having just carried 40 feet of pvc-tubing (in four 10 foot lengths) with the 9-3's hatch closed, got me wondering what some the biggest/oddest items hauled in your Saabs may have been? Love those hatchbacks! ---

| Saab owners: A question of Politics? | 27 Jan 2005 07:36 GMT | 20 |
For reasons of pure curiosity, and political study, I ask that you read and reply to this post. If it's not within the bounds of good taste for this forum, I'll take it somewhere else. I don't care what your answers are, just as long as it's not made into a bashfest.
