I've had my 2004 9-3 Aero with the 7 speed auto box for three months now,
Its done 5,000 miles. AND I HATE IT It's the worst car I have ever driven!!
Its road holding with the reAxe is superb, its ride although harsh picks up
all the imperfections on the road and it tramlines on ...
Saab nothing but headaches21 Jan 2005 04:38 GMT19
I bought a new Saab in 1992. I still have it and its been nothing but
headaches since day one.  IT breaks down constantly and the cost to get it
fixed is very expensive. The car is a real junk, but the top goes down and
the sun feels good on a nice day so I put up with the repairs ...
How's Installing A Water Pump?21 Jan 2005 03:26 GMT2
1994 9000 CS turbo. Any nuances to know of, for instance? On a scale of 1-10

9-5 pulls left20 Jan 2005 18:42 GMT9
Checked the alignment couple of times - all within specs
Rotated tires - no effect
Brake calipers are fine
Tires have only 10k miles on them and there is no uneven wear.
Which SAAB? 20 Jan 2005 02:47 GMT8
OK, that's IT!  I have had enough of my 9000CSE 2.3 FPT costing me money.
?500 to get it through the MOT is the final straw....
I want another car. My lovely wife started the SAAB thing with her NG 900S,
which hasn't cost us a fortune to run and is frankly one of the best cars

Remote Starter For a '99 9-3 - Manual Trani19 Jan 2005 18:27 GMT11
HI;
Given that today at 7am the temp outside was -28C, and I actually had to
get out, start the car and then go back to coffee, I've been thinking
about installing a remote starter.
Traction control19 Jan 2005 17:00 GMT5
In my 1992 9000 2,3l  16V Turbo the red traction control lamp was always on.
I was quite happy about this, since the TCS is a pain and there is no way to
switch it off in this model. A few days ago the engine suddenly lost
performance and I had to jump hard on the acellerator to ...

Buying a Saab - advice?19 Jan 2005 05:09 GMT3
Newbie here as well as in the Saab family (soon).
Thinking of buying a 9-3. My first car. I am balancing between Linear and
Arc. What is your opinion? Money is not much of a problem ("much" being the
operative word here). What is the best value for money? What would be the
European Aero 90018 Jan 2005 17:03 GMT1

Removing Connection To DI Cassette?18 Jan 2005 15:04 GMT2
Looking this over en route to changing the plugs, couldn't find how to
remove the connector.
It wouldn't just pull free, and there weren't any pinch clasps in sight to
squeeze first too...
Transmission question / 1999 Saab 9-5SE Automatic17 Jan 2005 16:57 GMT1
On a recent ski trip up the mountains from Denver, our 9-5 SE sedan, loaded
with 4 adult occupants and equipment, and set on cruise control, began to
shudder and start to hunt between 3rd and 4th gears.  The shudder was
definately from the gear box and placing the selector in 3rd ...
Brake interchangebility between '87 900 and '87 900S17 Jan 2005 16:08 GMT5
Does anyone know if the front disc calipers are interchangable between
these two models? I know that the sliding frame of the brake systems is
different to accomodate the vented rotor on the 900S. However, it seems
silly to have made two different caliper pistons for the different
dome light update (c900)17 Jan 2005 13:02 GMT9
A bit more info on my dome light problem (see also my original thread, "dome
light poltergeist"):
The light now stays on constantly when the switch is in position 1, however, it
goes off when the switch is in position 0. Essentially, position 1 is now
