Hi all, just after a bit of advice from the group's collected wisdom... Just got a 9-3SE Turbo after changing jobs and losing my company Ford Focus ST170 (bit of a toy, high-revving rollerskate that handled like it's on rails)

| 9-3 heater box control | 13 Jan 2005 20:47 GMT | 1 |
I have a 99 9-3 CV. The heater control knob is broken again! I guess this is a frequent problem on early year 9-3s. Is it possible to retrofit an electronic box instead of constantly replacing the manual box, just to have it bind up again? Did Saab leave all the

| 9-5 fuel line fittings question | 13 Jan 2005 18:10 GMT | 13 |
How do I disconnect the fuel line fittings on my 9-5? They're coming from the bulkhead up to the fuel rail, and have a metal sleeve on the "car end" and a rubber, 3-winged insert or nut type thing on the "engine end". I can spin that rubber insert, but that doesn't

| H engine in 9-5? | 13 Jan 2005 15:30 GMT | 24 |
For reasons I really don't want to go into right now, I'm asking an uncomfortable question. What are my engine options for a '99 9-5 which currently has a very misbehaving 2.3L LPT engine? My burst PCV hose(s) seem to have been

| dome light poltergeist (c900) | 11 Jan 2005 06:13 GMT | 1 |
I noticed an interesting feature of my 1992 900s tonight: the random and unbidden operation of the dome light. It seems to be turning itself on and off while I drive, seemingly at random. The switch is, as usual, in positing "1" (i.e. on when door opens). Any thoughts as to where I ...

I have a 1994 9000CSE and need to replace the turn signal relay. It is located somewhere behind the fuse panel above the passenger side floor / below the passenger airbag. I am completely stumped as to how to access the relays-- I can seem to

| Hatch rattles | 10 Jan 2005 18:22 GMT | 1 |
I have a 2001 9-3 4 door with a hatch that rattles more than I'd like. Does anyone have any experience getting it to quiet down? While it closes easily, all it takes is a solid close of one of the rear doors to make the hatch visibly move up and down a bit. I thought originally

| Transmission trouble | 09 Jan 2005 18:13 GMT | 8 |
I own a -86 Saab 900i. I've had some trouble with getting the car going at cold weather. I have checked the transmission fluid and the level is okay. When it's very cold, the car doesn't move at all until the engine and the transmissionfluid warms up a bit. When the system is warm, ...

I didn't get a chance to do much today but we did turn up the Haynes manual. It looks to be a faulty FP relay, I have a heavy guage jumper setup to jump around it tomorrow. Thx for the help everybody.

| 900 2-dr | 09 Jan 2005 05:39 GMT | 2 |
I just returned from a holiday visit to the state of Utah, where I noticed numerous classic 900s-- must be the necessity of driving in snowy mountain weather. I spotted a couple 4-doors, both NA (like mine) and turbo, and several 2-door

| c900 1984 - One or TWO Fuel Pumps? | 09 Jan 2005 04:59 GMT | 15 |
Does the 84 classic 900 sedan have two pumps? I know this particular car has a pump found in the trunk, on top of the tank. I looked underneath and only saw the accumulator with it's in/out lines and a vent tube to the atmosphere. It had no electrical connections.

Several questions regarding the 97x. 1) does anyone know if it has a third row seats? 2) available in-line six cylinder? 3) is it really a Saab or just another GM SUV?
