| Replacing Saab 9000 Front Control Arm Bushings | 21 Feb 2005 05:41 GMT | 3 |
This is one job I've just never done, and I'm not sure I need to. I just want to be prepared in the event replacing the disc rotors and/or lower ball joints isn't enough. So: 1) How hard is it to get the old ones out or new ones in? 2) How long would it take? 3) What tools are ...

| Auto Mechanics and Saabs | 21 Feb 2005 04:09 GMT | 9 |
I need to have my 1985 900 8V (non-turbo) tuned up. It goes between shaking when idling in cold weather to idling too quickly in warm weather. And, turning on the A/C sometimes causes it to die at idle. Since there is no Saab dealership in my town and no Saab authorized

Hi all; I've posted here before about the anticipated woes of buying a 900 cabriolet. However, I've decided to take the plunge, be sensible, and get a 9-5 estate. It's a late 2000 'W' plate and seems to have been well looked

| 900 SE Turbo 1996 , on "Check Engine" light and engine temperature | 20 Feb 2005 04:43 GMT | 3 |
A used 1996 900 2.0 Turbo AT recently landed in my hands. Not really brand new, and rather over 200 000 km already done. Briefly the "Check Engine" light came on. Having googled through this group I pointed a handful of possible causes. Another thing I noticed is that the

| Do Saab dealers give free loaners when the car in for repairs? | 18 Feb 2005 20:39 GMT | 6 |
Oldsmobile has a rather insulting deal where the higher priced models do rate a loaner but the cheaper model only if its a "mechanical" problem, which they jump through hoops to claim it isn't so they don't have to fork over the $30 a day for the rental car. I've had to debate ...
