Cruise Control21 Feb 2005 06:06 GMT12
I am on my third Saab. Two 9000s and now 9.5 Aero with HOT and all
were manuals.
All have had cruise control and except for trying it out once or twice
just for the experience, I found that my fuel consumption either went
Replacing Saab 9000 Front Control Arm Bushings21 Feb 2005 05:41 GMT3
This is one job I've just never done, and I'm not sure I need to. I just
want to be prepared in the event replacing the disc rotors and/or lower ball
joints isn't enough. So: 1) How hard is it to get the old ones out or new
ones in? 2) How long would it take? 3) What tools are ...
Auto Mechanics and Saabs21 Feb 2005 04:09 GMT9
I need to have my 1985 900 8V (non-turbo) tuned up. It goes between
shaking when idling in cold weather to idling too quickly in warm
weather. And, turning on the A/C sometimes causes it to die at idle.
Since there is no Saab dealership in my town and no Saab authorized
Steering Wheel Advice20 Feb 2005 20:35 GMT14
just bought my first Saab, (95 900s coupe 2.0 non-turbo UK spec).
There are 77K genuine miles on it (have full stamped service history),
but steering wheel (standard 3 spoke?)is badly worn and rough in
places and is annoying and uncomfortable. Any suggestions on fixing
Splash Shield - 2000 9-320 Feb 2005 18:27 GMT1
At the dealer today. They informed me that the splash shields were
damaged/broken. Said they were to protect the engine from spray. I have
never heard of this item on previous cars. Should they be replaced?
Where would I get them? Just looked at eEuroparts and could not find them ...

9-5 estate20 Feb 2005 09:29 GMT1
Hi all;
I've posted here before about the anticipated woes of buying a 900
cabriolet. However, I've decided to take the plunge, be sensible, and get a
9-5 estate. It's a late 2000 'W' plate and seems to have been well looked
900 SE Turbo 1996 , on "Check Engine" light and engine temperature20 Feb 2005 04:43 GMT3
A used 1996 900 2.0 Turbo AT recently landed in my hands. Not really brand
new, and rather over 200 000 km already done.
Briefly the "Check Engine" light came on. Having googled through this group
I pointed a handful of possible causes. Another thing I noticed is that the

Just say NO to Bin Ladin!!!!19 Feb 2005 22:57 GMT2
Hi all I am helping a friend promote a web site. You see a childhood
friend of hers lost her husband at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11,
2001. She has run into some hard times and my freind wants to help her.
So she came up with the idea to market Just say NO to Bin Ladin
radio antenna replacement (900 "combi" from 91)19 Feb 2005 14:47 GMT1
I belive i'am not the only one who had the radio antenna broken. But how
do I replace it?
I can remove the rubber-cover and there i've got a whole in the bodywork,
and the former antenna is loose. But it seems unpossible to reach the
Ecotek Valve19 Feb 2005 09:10 GMT11
My "new" C900 Aero  has one of these fitted.  Any opinions? Should I leave
it on or remove it?
Cheers

Do Saab dealers give free loaners when the car in  for repairs?18 Feb 2005 20:39 GMT6
Oldsmobile has a rather insulting deal where the higher priced models do
rate a loaner but the cheaper model only if its a "mechanical" problem,
which they jump through hoops to claim it isn't so they don't have to fork
over the $30 a day for the rental car. I've had to debate ...

A quasi-hatchback/wagon has returned to the Saab lineup...

Rumor has it that the V6 will also make it into the 9^3 SportSedan for 2006.
