I am thinking about buying a 80 Saab 2dr,155,000miles,auto  for a
$1000 from a friend of mine.  The car has no rust and runs very well
when it is running.  The problem is while it's being driven the car
will shut off completely.  It powers off, no fuel, no light, no

I got my 85' saab 900T yesterday, and the first thing that happens when I
put gas in it... the fu$%ing key breaks.  Luckily, I was able to pull out
the part that was in the ignition without damaging it, put another key in
and off I went.

Been ignoring this issue for a while but it's been annoying in the cold
weather. The center dash vent always vents cold air even with the heat on,
this is not normal is it? Should I be looking for a cracked vacuum hose
behind the dash or is there something else that can cause it?

I have a transmission leak which Saab dealer says is at the rear of the
transmission (gasket). Would this be a difficult job for a handy layman to
attempt? Thanks
