| saab 92x | 17 Mar 2005 13:07 GMT | 3 |
I've have just bought a saab 92x aero.I have no problem with it being a, "Saab tuned Subaru WRX," as the WRX is a real performance bargan. The saab changes are considerable; no longer really homely, bigger brakes, WRX XTI steering, Saab seats, and quiter.

| Oil Smells Like Gas and Is Thin | 16 Mar 2005 23:47 GMT | 11 |
1985 900 8V (non-turbo) with 165.000 miles. I did an oil change a few months back. I checked my oil the other day and noticed an slight overfill. I thought that maybe I had done it accidently during that last change (but didn't really think so). So, a few days later, I

| ominous steering noise (c900) | 15 Mar 2005 23:21 GMT | 7 |
I noticed a rather ominous noise that occurs when turning the steering wheel. It began today as I was parking, following my usual series of tight turns as I spiral up the parking garage at work. I would descriibe the noise as a "moan." I haven't investigated it at all yet,

Does anyone know the location of the TCS (Traction Control System) control module? Mitchell manual advises under the right front seat. After extracting the seat, all I find is a shield that was maybe designed to protect

Recently bought a 99 9-3 5 door auto trans 71,000 mi. Monday morning the sid read "Time for Service" I consulted the owners manual and figured it couldn't be anything major and could wait (the nearest saab shop is 2 hours away). Friday morning the sid no longer says time for

| Fried Starter on 1989 Saab 900? | 15 Mar 2005 05:05 GMT | 2 |
I think I already know the answer to this but I want to confirm. I live in the northeastern US and during that really bad cold snap we had earlier this winter the ignition was frozen such that it wouldn't turn. After blasting it with a hair dryer for about a half hour, the key

| Troubleshooting the Bosch CIS cold start system | 14 Mar 2005 01:34 GMT | 8 |
Hi everyone ... My car is a 1989 900 T8 Special. I have the Bosch CIS fuel injection system and the cold start/warm idle is really bugging me! If I setup the cold start right, it's great ... Then when it's warm, it's too warm. If I set the idle right when warm, I have to hold my ...

| 2004 9-3 aero bad in snow | 13 Mar 2005 18:33 GMT | 31 |
I recently purchased a 2004 9-3 Aero...with the 17" wheels/pirellis. This car, as is, stinks in the snow. This morning, I was embarrased that it couldn't even get me up a small, somewhat snowy incline, at low speed (as an AWD Volvo and an old Ford Escort zipped right past me up ...

I'm a new SAAB owner, or rather a new owner of an older SAAB. A 93 900S 16v w/o turbo. The speedo doesn't work. is this driven by a cable or is it electronic?

| C900 Radiator - Which UK Supplier | 13 Mar 2005 06:39 GMT | 3 |
OK, I'm gonna get my hands properly oily for the first time in years. I used to be a competent basic DIY mechanic, but that was a while ago. The radiator on my C900 T16 Aero is looking decidedly shot, so I figure I'll change it out now before I get a problem. At the same time I'll

| '86 900 starter problem/questions | 13 Mar 2005 06:36 GMT | 7 |
I've got an '86 Saab 900, normally aspirated. In the last week, 3 times now, the starter has failed to turn over the engine when I turn the key. First time, I let it sit for a few minutes and tried again, and it fired right up. Second time, I was able to roll-start it

| New Saab Owner | 13 Mar 2005 05:02 GMT | 1 |
Just purchased a used 99 Saab 9-3 to replace my 82 Mercedes-Benz 240D (Diesel 4 cyl). Which needless to say is a huge change. I researched quite a bit to make sure I was making a wise buy. I'm completely new to Saab and I expected to run into some issues with the car. As I expected
