| 93 Series | 12 Mar 2005 21:43 GMT | 3 |
I am looking to buy a June 2002 - 93. The line of the hatch falls below the main body, is this usual or has it been hit from behind? Are there any issues I should be aware of with this vintage? Many thanks

| Saab 2004 9-3 Infotainment System | 12 Mar 2005 20:25 GMT | 9 |
I've got the Saab Infotainment System on my 2004 Saab 9-3 which I'm very impressed with except the "Speed Dependent Volume Compensation" doesn't work. I have returned it to the local Saab dealer who claims they test drove the

| Replacing The 9000's Emergency Brake Cable | 12 Mar 2005 16:40 GMT | 13 |
The passenger (right) side emergency brake cable seemed defective to me as I worked with the rear brakes on the 9000. When I turned to my trusty Haynes manual, though, what to my wondering eyes did appear but a need to remove the driver's seat (to access the center console) and ...

| Rear Crank Seal | 12 Mar 2005 14:28 GMT | 5 |
I've been told I need to replace my rear crank seal. It's on a 1993 9000 2.3 Auto, 199,000 miles. It's one of 4 leaks, but seems to be the worst. My mechanic has said he can replace it working through the offside wheel arch. Does this

| blown headgasket | 11 Mar 2005 16:10 GMT | 10 |
My car is a 1995 9000CS with 171,000 miles on it. I just blew the headgasket. It will cost about $1,000 to get it all fixed, provided there are no surprises like a cracked head. My mechanic says he only sees cracked heads from running long and hard while overheated, which I

| Major heart surgery needed to my 9-5 SE | 11 Mar 2005 05:49 GMT | 5 |
Last night my beloved 1997 Saab 9-5 suffered a major breakdown and I'm looking for help in deciding what to do. I bought the car 3 years ago with 90K miles on the clock and have added a further 65K myself. Of late the engine has been burning more oil, and for the last few days

| Crankshaft | 09 Mar 2005 23:48 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone know if a 94 9000 cs n/a 2.3L engine has the same crankshaft as the 2.3L turbo engine? Someone who is rebuilding a 96 9000 (it must be at least LPT) engine asked if the crankshaft of my 94 cs n/a will fit the 96.

| A Tale Of Two Hoses | 09 Mar 2005 19:31 GMT | 10 |
Evidently, there are two heater hose types for a 1994 Saab 9000 CS Turbo, one called the heater core hose and the other the heater core inlet hose. Now just what do they do; do I need all four or what....

| Head gasket in 900SE V6 | 09 Mar 2005 13:08 GMT | 4 |
I checked out a Saab 900SE for possible purchase today. Apparently it failed its emissions test and a blown HG has been diagnosed as the problem. It is a '95 with 54k "original" miles. Overall it is in good shape and the motor runs smoothly - consistent with the mileage. Asking

| Another winter tire question...frost heaves | 09 Mar 2005 13:05 GMT | 9 |
A couple weeks back, I had posted a question in regards to my 2004 9-3 Aero's tires...in that they were obviously not meant for winter driving. I received many good recommendations for winter tires/rims. Thanks! However, one other less obvious requirement for winter driving ...

| 9000 Turbo Hooter Hose Goes Where? | 08 Mar 2005 03:17 GMT | 3 |
It first came loose (hose needed replacement); it goes to a splitter leading back through the firewall. Also connected at the splitter is a hose from the--what?--the fuel injection system? What do these do, together? What kind of hose do I get to replace them,

| 96 NG 900se V6 "chattering" loudly .....help! | 07 Mar 2005 23:10 GMT | 1 |
I just had my timing belt changed in my NG V6, and now when the car is at an idle there is a very loud chattering noise. Turning the steering wheel a bit makes the sound disappear for a few moments, then it comes back. The sepentine belt also squeals for a few minutes when i start
