| Can a modern Saab gearbox seize? | 22 Apr 2005 22:16 GMT | 15 |
Just wondering whether it's possible for a modern (1991) Saab gearbox to actually seize? The box on my 9000 cs 2.3t has been whining for a while, and now it's louder and more like a hum. Happens at all speeds, in all gears and even when coasting and with the engine off.

| 9-5 crankcase ventialtion CVS | 22 Apr 2005 19:09 GMT | 3 |
I'm considering buying a 2001 5-spd 9-5 wagon. It has a warranty but I'm concerned about the CVS issue. Has it been resolved? Is there a retroactive fix? Is it covered under warranty? Thanks.

| 1994 900SE turbo (coupe) Ball joints | 22 Apr 2005 18:12 GMT | 15 |
I have a 1994 Saab 900SE turbo (coupe). The VIN is YS3DN35N6R2034639. Recently, the front end started clunking over bumps. The noise sounds like two pieces of metal hitting, or something being loose.

| Returning of the steering wheel after corner | 20 Apr 2005 17:22 GMT | 1 |
I know that the steering wheel has to return to the straight position by itself after a corner. Should it return almost or fully, beacuse I have to help a little bit at the end to prevent to much cornering.

This is for a 1986 9000 Turbo with a Bosch alternator. My battery wasn't charging so I pulled my alternator. After checking the brushes it was obvious they needed to be replaced. I did that and was in the process of putting it back in when I noticed one of the wires that was
