SID in '02 9-318 Apr 2005 07:52 GMT6
From discussions, it seems the SID in 9-3s, even later years, has a long and
venerable tradition of losing pixels (of which there aren't too many). The
SID in my car now is occasionally missing a column of pixels. What I am
wondering is:
C900 Check Engine Air Mass Meter Disaster - HELP18 Apr 2005 04:04 GMT5
I have a 1987 T16 Aero.  It isn't boosting fully, and my specialist blamed
lack of fuel on the Bosch mass air meter  (Part Number 0 280 212 0050)
I got a spare "working" one off ebay, and tried it today.  Immediate check
engine light and lumpy running, no go at all when the ...
A useful note from www.saab9000.com re servicing - other Saab model  owners may wish to consider too17 Apr 2005 13:26 GMT13
An important aspect of caring for the Saab 9000 is regular servicing.
The 9000 range is of sophisticated design, with some very
high-performance variants. It was designed primarily for the European
market, where car-owners have come to expect to service their cars

Would this be a good car to buy?
I don't know much about Saabs, but I enjoy driving a relative's 2004 9.3
Restoring a '74 99 LE - Is there a good parts catalog out there? (in U.S. or Australia)17 Apr 2005 00:49 GMT2
I moved to Australia (2 hours south of Sydney) two years ago from the U.S.
(Wisconsin). I've owned a few classic cars before (two '65 Chevy Corvair
and a few mid-70s camaros), but I gave them up when I moved here. Now, my
wife and I share a car to get places (Nissan Pathfinder), ...
Temperature Control Knob16 Apr 2005 10:47 GMT2
I have a 2000 9-3 Convertible here in the U.S. and the back of the plastic
knob that adjust the temperature snapped while turning the  knob with my
hand.  This is the knob that points from blue to cool to red for warm.  I
have tried several junk yards in the area with no luck ...

Where is PCV on '86 900 8v?14 Apr 2005 03:39 GMT7
I think I neeed to replace my PCV check valve, again.
Last time my mechanic did the job, to solve stalling at idle.
Now it seems to be happening again, and he is now too far away?
Is this an easy do-it-youtself job, just a part swap?
9-3 rear washer14 Apr 2005 03:36 GMT6
The rear washer on my 2001 9-3 doesn't work.  When I push the button to
activate it I hear the motor sound, but no washer fluid comes out.  I
filled the reservoir and the front works fine.  I also took used a pin
to make sure it wasn't clogged.  Suggestions?  Thanks.
99 Turbo questions 14 Apr 2005 02:49 GMT4
For a project I'm working on I'm trying to find out if the Saab 99
and/or 900's with the 8V B motor was ever turbocharged, and if there were
any versions of that engine that had a double roller timing chain.  I've
been all over the web and got nothing, while the Haynes manual ...

Advice on modifying a Viggen 200013 Apr 2005 08:39 GMT10
I own a Viggen 2000 and I enjoy driving it. I would very much like to
increase the HP though..to say 300 HP. Who do I go and ask for such
modifications. My SAAB mechanic mentioned to me that all i need is the
codes changed on the chip and that will do it. If i modify the codes

Oil change intervals13 Apr 2005 00:06 GMT18
How often should I change oil on my 1993 9000 CSE 2.0 LPT?
Words like "frequently" and "infrequently" doesn't tell very much.
Wheeler Dealer Saab T16 episode - been broadcast anywhere?12 Apr 2005 13:20 GMT11
I've picked up a new copy of the Saab T16 episode of 'Wheeler Dealer'. Just
curious though - here in Australia the show does run on Discovery Channel
but they're still running episodes from 2002/2003, and none of the more
recent ones have, to the best of my knowledge, been run yet.
