| A new twist? | 12 Apr 2005 02:01 GMT | 7 |
Salutations: So. I have a broken tensioner mounting plate on a 1993 Aero. The tensioner, belt and pulleys are fine - but the whole unit came loose and then snapped off the block (leaving at least two bolt halves to be dug

| Abbott Racing and the 9k | 12 Apr 2005 00:11 GMT | 5 |
1989 saw the debut of the SAAB 9000 on the race circuits of Europe. At this time racing a high-powered front wheel drive car was considered crazy! However, with 260 BHP and a well developed chassis, the 9000 caused more than a few raised eyebrows as it began to score wins in the

| C900 T16 Brakes soft | 10 Apr 2005 20:34 GMT | 2 |
My brakes are no where near as sharp as I would like them. My specialist reported the pads as 50% worn, discs changed within last 12 months. I wonder whether I am asking too much of them, having stepped down(?) from a 9000 2.3FPT to a C900 T16 with no ABS.

| drain 1993 5-spd | 10 Apr 2005 19:31 GMT | 8 |
I want to change the oil in my C900 5-speed. The 93 does not have a drain plug. I know I have to pull off a cover and let it drip. I've not yet crawled under the thing and looked so maybe the question has a big Duh! as the answer.

| Saab noise | 10 Apr 2005 14:50 GMT | 4 |
I have a 95 Saab 900S with a 4 cylinder non turbo engine. It has a noise that is making me very nervous. When the engine is first started cold it makes a noise very similar to an idler or tensioner with a bad bearing. Almost like a bad water pump bushing.

| [Saab_c9000] changes made in the 1992 to 1993 Saab 9000 model transition | 10 Apr 2005 02:18 GMT | 3 |
I've been starting to understand more about the Saab 9000's in recent times, and apart from knowing that GM re-designed the 9000's in 1992 with a complete new release from 1993, I'm not really up to speed with the changes that were made, and whether or not they were good or bad.

| How to pin down source of water pump leak ? | 09 Apr 2005 09:11 GMT | 5 |
1997 NG900 2.0 turbo. I have a moderate (lose 1/2 liter/month) water leak from the pump or the seal into the engine. It leaks enough that there will be a large damp, not wet, spot on the driveway in the morning. I can see where it

| Alternator Replacement, C900 Turbo, 1985 | 09 Apr 2005 08:17 GMT | 1 |
I've gotten the alternator most of the way out... trying to get the last piece. I was checking on saabsite for directions, and it says I need to remove a 6mm bolt near the waterpump, which I did. The alternator itself is still hanging on the long 17mm bolt that supports it from ...

| Leather Interior - Polish etc. | 08 Apr 2005 20:51 GMT | 3 |
Finally got myself a somewhat worn interior for my C900. I don't mind if its a bit shabby as the rest of the car is a bit tired too! However, I believe SAAB made/make leather restoring kits in charcoal grey, any tips as to where I might get one, other than SAAB of course, or on ...

| NextGen 900s, differences? | 08 Apr 2005 15:20 GMT | 10 |
I am completely out of the loop when it comes to the new 900s (94+). I know there is S and SE, 4 and 6 Cyl. engines. What is the mark for the 4 Cyl Turbo engine? I thought it was SE, but I see some SEs that are 6 cyl. Also, some listings are for SE turbo, and others not. Can ...
