Replacing Clutch on a Saab 9-531 May 2005 17:03 GMT1
I have been quoted a price of $1,400 to replace a clutch on
a 2000 9-5.
Is this price reasonable?  About how many hours labor are
required?
Can a brake job cause clutch "slop"? 31 May 2005 15:03 GMT6
About 700 miles ago I had the 2001 9-3SE front rotors replaced (at 52,500
miles).  Over the last 700 miles I've experienced a "sloppy" or loose clutch
pedal a few times; very soft at times, gone to the firewall once.  As it
looks like the brake and clutch share a fluid reservoir ...

I live in san diego, ca.  I have the above car and need to make a

be $25 for getting the key made (even though I had the blank and they
could not guarantee it would be work after they did the work).

I have an '84 Saab 900 and a '94 Saab Turbo Convertible and both have

Saab Recall on early 9-5 lubrication problems27 May 2005 14:04 GMT24
I got the letter from Saab today as a registered owner for a 9-5.  They
explain that there was an "oil sludge" issue with the 9-5 and that I may be
elligible for a repair.
However, they ask that I provide proof that the car had regular oil changes
[Saab_c900] Saab Serve27 May 2005 13:35 GMT2
Took my 1983 900S over to Saab Serve on Friday and look forward to getting
the call from Steve that it's ready to pick up this week. So far I've
heard lots of positive feedback about Saab Serve and so far I'm impressed.
Will let you know the outcome...

Long story short: Card died on the highway, I replaced my ID
cassette, used properly gapped NGK Resistor plugs. It now runs but no

indicate misfire on 4.
Selling my SAAB 9-5 Wagon25 May 2005 22:26 GMT1
I have ordered a new car which will be coming in at the end of June. As a
result I'm going to be putting my SAAB up for sale to sell in that time
frame and thought I'd start planting the seeds now. Forgive this commercial
announcement.
