Gearbox oil plug14 Jun 2005 22:16 GMT8
Received wisdom says that there is no oil plug on the gearbox of
my 1993 9000. It this true? I've found something that looks like an
oil plug under the gearbox.
abs troubleshooting14 Jun 2005 22:00 GMT2
As some of you know I just finished replacing the rear springs and shocks on my
1992 900. This job required removal and reinstallation of the ABS rear wheel
speed sensors. After I had everything put together, I drove around a bit,
applying the brakes several times, with no problems. ...
Cost of 'parts'14 Jun 2005 16:55 GMT2
I'm considering coming back to SAABs from a forray into the BMW world.
For the immediate term, I'm thinking of buying a 9-5 2.3 Aero Auto, which
has covered 115,000 miles. (built in 2000)
I hear that the turbos are stronger, as is the gearbox on the auto 9-5. Can

Saabs in UK13 Jun 2005 22:55 GMT31
Just a curiosity thread here..on a recent three-day visit to London, I
spotted no more than a dozen Saabs (amongst the 1000s of cars I passed).
Here in a typical small New England town I can usually spot at least a half
dozen as I simply drive through town.

94 NG 900s stalls occassionally 13 Jun 2005 21:14 GMT4
My daughters 900s runs perfectly 99.9% of the time.
Once in a while it will buck pretty bad and then stall - usually while in
slow traffic.
Needless to say she is afraid to drive the thing. I have brought it to Saab
Saab 9-2X Turbo Lease Takeover $245 a month! - Same as WRX Wagon13 Jun 2005 21:11 GMT2
I am moving to Chicago and would like to go "carfree." I have an '05
Saab 9-2X 5 Speed Manual. It is the same vehicle as a Subaru WRX Wagon.
The differences are Saab front and back sheet metal, Saab wheels, WRX
STI steering rack, interior changes and revised suspension. I think it
c900 rear shock bolts13 Jun 2005 16:48 GMT25
I'm planning to replace the shocks on my 1992 900 in the near future. I did
some preliminary investigation of the rear shocks, and it seems likely that I
will have to cut the bolts to remove the shock absorbers (I sprayed them with
penetrating oil, which might work, but I'm planning ...
Is my DI cassette going ?13 Jun 2005 15:10 GMT13
On the way into work today I noticed that the old 9000 ( 2.0 lpt )
wasn't as quick off the mark as usual.
Later I noticed that the engine would cut out when stopping at
junctions. Manual gearbox - de-clutching.
Flickering Dash With Headlights Too...13 Jun 2005 06:18 GMT6
This flickering is annoying; what could be behind it!?!!
classic 900 clutch advice12 Jun 2005 17:39 GMT3
Hi my '90 classic 900i seems to have a problem with the clutch, when I've
been driving for a while theres no resistance in the pedal and it can be
very hard to get in gear. If I lightly pump the pedal resistance builds back
up and it seems to be ok, though it still grinds going into ...
