140mile shakedown run home. Drives nice. Roof and leather OK, but not quite as good as it looked in the picture. Will be fine. Main roof problems are the edging tape is broken away in

| Official name for red 91' 900 | 26 Aug 2005 21:17 GMT | 6 |
Does anybody know what the offical name is for the red paint on my 91' 900. I am aware that it may simply be "red", but I'm guessing that Saab would come up with some wonderfully crafty surname.(I'm trying to settle a bet here.)

| [Saab_c9000] Saab C9000 SuperSwede's in Australia? | 26 Aug 2005 13:21 GMT | 27 |
Following on from Clifford Bernard's SuperSwede being offered for sale via Ebay recently, it has started me wondering just how many of these unique Saab 9000's made it to Australia, and apart from Cliff's (which is a beautiful car and I wish I had $10k to buy it!) what happened to ...

| "Throttle body" on 9-5 -- why!? | 25 Aug 2005 22:28 GMT | 17 |
My 2002 9-5 Aero started dying when idling, and the "Check Engine" light came on. Oh boy. Take it to the dealer, describe the problem, and the service manager immediately identifies it as a faulty "throttle body." Tech II confirms it, and says the car is in "limp home" mode. ...

| Shop Manual for 9000 Turbo? | 25 Aug 2005 18:31 GMT | 3 |
The best use of the Haynes manual (came with the car) appears to be for home heating. Where can I get a real manual? Apparently there is no Bently like for the 900 and I could not find much online today.

Anyone else see this? I know most of you aren't 9-7x fans, but I have my Directv Tivo programmed to record anything with SAAB in the title or description. It caught a nice review of the 9-7x on 8/14, 5 am, on our local channel 49 (Akron,Cleveland area PBS).

| Help me out: only high beam on 1 headlight? | 25 Aug 2005 16:39 GMT | 9 |
Strange.... Someone flashed me that only one headlight was working. So the next morning I changed the bulb for a new one, but still no headlight. Strangely, when I turned on the high beam it was working! But on normal (dimmed) beam, there's no light. I checked the 3 pin connector ...

Back again. New to us 92 9000 Turbo with 190k miles. Red, mostly in good condition with some minor body issues. Comments on minor problems welcome. I find it is nice for everything to work as it should, even on an old car.

| I seem to be a Saab owner again. | 24 Aug 2005 23:30 GMT | 21 |
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4568567176 Roof might need some work sometime soon (the mechanism is fine the cover is a little "wear and tear" in places). The rest of the car has had a lot of work done.

| 92 9000 engine quit while driving? | 24 Aug 2005 05:08 GMT | 7 |
We bought a 92 9000 Turbo 2.3l today. It is red. It has a few minor dings but otherwise is a nice car. A few problems: ACC blows hot unless you go to manual (temp to "LO"). However I read the manual and recalibrated the system and that seemed to help. There is one

The SRS(airbag) light stayed on after I started the engine of my SAAB'97 SE last week. Today I sent the car to the dealership and had it checked. The error code they told me is B1227 - the SRS light is not working properly and needs to be replaced, and the cost is US$270. ...
