Saab 900 SE SRS question18 Aug 2005 04:49 GMT1
My car is a 1997 Saab 900 SE v6. Today I had a problem: after I start the
car, the SRS warning light as well as the central warning (!) light are on.
Does it means my airbag system has problem? I did not have any accident at
all before. And the SRS light was off as it should be ...

Saab 9000 Anniversary 2.0LPT  1998
3 Questions:
1/  Does the immobiliser automatically  immobilise the vehicle if you wander
off for a few minutes after turning the ignition off?  i.e. like when you go
grey metallic (silver)17 Aug 2005 10:34 GMT5
I have two remote TV controls, one is black, the other is silver (plastic).
I spend more time looking for the silver one than the black. The silver
remote easily hides among odds and ends and gets unnoticed.
(2) I saw a police TV programme; a lady in a red car drove out of a ...
'01 9-516 Aug 2005 21:30 GMT6
I recently aquired a '01 9-5 v6 from a relative for a song.  Looks great
next to my other sweedish cars too.  I don't know much about it but it
feels like it has alot of untaped potential.  It rides very smooth but
doesn't provide alot of road feel back to the driver which is ...
1994 9000 CST Battery Size16 Aug 2005 13:00 GMT19
Two places list the relevant battery as a group 41 size, only group 41's are
roughly 2" too long for (at least, my) battery holder, and cannot be
installed.
OTOH, what's in my car now, a group 47, said to be too weak for it... What
9-5 A/C Woes16 Aug 2005 01:25 GMT3
1999 9-5 2.3L Turbo
My left side driver airconditioning does not cool.  The blower blows only
hot air.  The right side passenger and the center console vent both blow
cooler air.
Russelheim SAAB Show15 Aug 2005 20:59 GMT1
Since there's some talk about Russelheim around here at the moment, here's
something I happened across while trawling the 'net:

900 CLASSIC CLUTCH QUESTION - HYDRAULICS15 Aug 2005 14:41 GMT5
1985 900 turbo.
Recent rebuild to the engine and new slave cylinder and clutch and
release bearing fitted.  Good performance no slipping.
But recently the longer the clutch is depressed the earlier it engages
85 900T Clutch slave rebuild/replace15 Aug 2005 10:00 GMT2
We have a 1985 900 T w/about 185k miles. Clutch slave is gone. I do not
want to put $600 in this car. That is what a new clutch costs and they
say if you replace slave cylinder, replace everything.
We are looking to upgrade to 9000 turbos when we find a pair.
Could use a spittle of help with my new old car  (95 900)15 Aug 2005 02:25 GMT1
my 85 900 turbo is retired with a dead tranny, so I purchased an fine
condition `95 900 turbo 2.0l.
Is there any source for a PDF of the owners manual? The previous owner
failed to leave it with the dealer, and it may be a fair while before

When driving 80 km/hour and gently pulling the handbrake, severe vibrations
in the steering wheel occur. Is this normal?

Standard 900 T16S 1985 15 inch wheels

I have used Pirelli P6000s and they are pretty good. I have used Avons
which aren't terribly good.,

Notably all the major European manufacturers made the list, with one
American and no Japanese.
driving lights (high beams) won't stay on14 Aug 2005 20:10 GMT9
1997 900SE This happened tonight. Flicked my high-beams (driving lights) on
and they flicked right off. In other words, the stalk that controls it won't
stay in the "on" position. The high beams do come on and stay on if I hold
it.
