| 9-5 fuel gauge | 13 Aug 2005 02:40 GMT | 3 |
After topping up my 2002 9-5 the fuel meter stays on empty, including the empty gas light and the d.t.e.in the 'computer'. After some time (several stops/nights) it corrects itself. My previous 9-5 sometimes had the same problem.

| Tires for 99 9-5 | 12 Aug 2005 18:23 GMT | 1 |
Can anyone give me any direction on replacement tires for my 9-5. I have had two sets of Dunlop A2 and will not buy anymore Dunlops. Whether they were rotated every 5K or not did not make any difference. Are Bridgestones worth considering? How about Continentals? I'm looking for

| 2001 9-3 starter problems | 12 Aug 2005 14:53 GMT | 11 |
I'm having problems with my 2001 9-3 and my dealer's service department can't figure out how to fix it. (I'm going to the dealer because the problem is covered by warranty.)Four times over the last 8 months, my car hasn't been able to start. It's not an end-of-the-earth problem.

| 93 9000 Stock Amplifier Replacement | 12 Aug 2005 03:10 GMT | 11 |
The stock amplifier in my 1993 9000 CSE died a while back. At least, that's what I presumed to have happened. The radio and CD players still turn on and when the volume is cranked to it's highest you can just barely here music come out.

| intermittent 'check engine' | 12 Aug 2005 00:54 GMT | 4 |
I've been seeing an intermittent 'check engine' light in my 1992 900 (NA). I read the code (I'm getting rather practiced at reading codes these days) from the LH control unit. There were two stored: 1. "oxygen sensor self-compensating circuit problem (incorrext air-fuel ratio

| Who Drives a Saab? | 11 Aug 2005 19:34 GMT | 29 |
On holidays I found time to waste on car mags, especially Top Gear which is in my opinion the most entertaining of the english language bunch, by far. It's refreshingly reliable in political incorrectness (a UK government publication. hooray.) and passion about a good drive.

| uneven brake pad wear | 11 Aug 2005 01:42 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1997 9000 Aero and find that I have very uneven brake pad wear on the front end. The driver side pads were getting close to metal on metal while the passenger side still had good life left in them. I don't think the brake pressure equalizer device (not sure of the actual ...

I recently got a 1988 Saab 900 5 speed 163k miles for free. It has been sitting for over a year but it started up with a fresh battery and some fresh gas. I was told by the owner that the cluth was bad and needed to be replaced. After getting it warmed up, I tried to get it to ...

| 9-3 and the "check engine" information | 10 Aug 2005 14:42 GMT | 5 |
I've got some problem and I don't know If I have to be scared, cause "check engine" is real frightening information. Generally I don't have any problems with my saab 9-3 (2.2 TiD '98). It's nice and easy to hit 180 km/h :)

| Goodbye: selling my Saab 9000 | 10 Aug 2005 10:02 GMT | 5 |
Its been fun guys. Have been lurking in the ng for almost 4 years. I *love* my 1996 9000 CS with 196,000km on the clock but I have a new job and am downsizing the family to one car. The Saab is just too big to treated like a shopping cart, my wife's Mazda 121 is too small.
