Traction Control?07 Oct 2005 16:49 GMT4
I have heard that the traction control on the SAAB 9000's is notorious
for being problematic. I have a 92 with same.
What about the traction control on the newer 9-3 or 9-5 models? Is this
optional? Is it to be avoided when buying used?

93 Convertible buying advice06 Oct 2005 19:19 GMT39
Went to look at a local Saab specialist dealer today.
Saw a 1999 9-3 2.0 lpt SE Convertible on a "T" plate, 87k miles, 2
owners, FSH, in metallic light blue (best I can describe the colour).
Spec is pasted below some some of it's stating the obvious.

Alarm System06 Oct 2005 00:55 GMT1
Vehicle 2000 9-5 Aero HOT engine
I have sorted out part of my alarm problem. At least so that it is not
randomly  sounding in the middle of the night and degrading my
neighbourhood popularity.
spark plug lead resistance05 Oct 2005 22:44 GMT4
I was changing the oil on my 1992 900, and decided to check out some ignition
components while waiting for oil to drain. I was measuring resistance in the
spark plug wires, which is supposed to be between 2000 and 3000 ohms. The
wires from cylinders 2, 3, and 4 all fell within that ...

What are the visual signs that would indicate rotor replacement is
necessary. And if replacement is necessary, is it difficult to replace
SID - again05 Oct 2005 02:02 GMT16
OK, so last year (June) I finally bit the bullet and went to the dealer to
have them replace the SID in my 99 9-5, it was a mess.  I moaned and groaned
to Saaab about this being a systemic problem that they should take care of
to no avail and finally paid the $500 plus to get the ...
C900 clutch pedal linkage play affecting Cruise Control04 Oct 2005 13:23 GMT5
My 1987 900 Aero is a RHD UK spec version.
Whilst running through the Bentley Cruise Control (CC) checks on Sunday (CC
not functioning)  I discovered the linkage to the slave(?) cylinder from the
pedal on the passenger side of the car is very loose.  Its quite competent,

usually good for as long as ten years, that  my battery could be low and

Door Speakers in 02 9-302 Oct 2005 16:53 GMT1
I'm thinking about upgrading my stereo and I would like to install
speakers in the doors. There currently aren't any speakers there now. I
tried to remove the speaker covers with no luck. Does the whole door
panel have to be removed? Do you think the wiring is already there and I ...
