Is it difficult to change the thermostat on a 1993 9000CDE? It's running a
little hot and I think it's due to the fact that it has the thermostat for
a colder climate (previous owner lived in Ohio - I live in L.A). Or do I
need a mechanic for this? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Here's an update on the foaming issue.  Ensured both hoses going to and from
reservoir were tight. Removed filter from reservoir and tried starting the
car again. Within 10 seconds, I had oil foaming and pushing out the vent
hole on the reservoir cap, so no change.
