C900  - Flushing ABS style Brake Fluid21 Jan 2006 01:28 GMT5
Besides using a good quality fluid and avoiding pushing old, dirty
fluid back up in the system, are there any good tips for a DIYer to
know when replacing all the brake fluid in a 1991 900?
I'm thinking DOT4 is what's called for, I have a 'One Man Bleeder'

Hmmm...I believe people in these situations always say things for a reason.
So why would Jonsson says this?  Does he really want to stay under GM?  That
is, he must see benefits to sticking with GM.  Or is he really ...
saab newbie w/automatic transmission question21 Jan 2006 00:15 GMT11
I've just purchased a 1990 Saab 900 with a 3-speed automatic.  It
shifts flawlessly from first to second, but has trouble getting into
third.  Aside from the fact that a manual 4-speed would be a lot more
suitable for this car, can anyone advise me on how I can remedy this
New tyres fitted to rear?20 Jan 2006 22:35 GMT25
Just had two new tyres fitted to my 1987 900 Aero.
Costco insisted that the new tyres were fitted to the rear not the front,
apparently they have been told by Michelin not to carry out customers wishes
and fit newer tyres to the front.  They were playing a "police" video which

What's acceptable mileage on used 90018 Jan 2006 22:30 GMT6
I'm thinking of buying a used 900 convertible with 137000 miles on it.
Anyone know of any issues with Saabs at that mileage? It'd be great if
you could also comment on what would be a reasonable price for such a
car.

Very, um, technical question here. What's the trim underneath the front of
my 1992 Saab 900 turbo called? A spoiler? The right side fell off and I'm
trying to find another via Ebay, etc. Not sure what to call it. Thanks.

[Saab_c900] RHS lower control arm 1985 900i - totally ruined shock    mount thread18 Jan 2006 00:40 GMT1
Some of you will remember that on my 1985 900i I had a problem when I
replaced all the balljoints, etc. that on the RHS lower control arm the
nut securing the shock to the control arm wouldn't tighten beyond about 20
ft/lb's...
Sulking electric window on C90017 Jan 2006 22:54 GMT4
I've got a window that's been running, but running slowly for a year. It's
now not moving at all (fortunately it stuck while it was closed), but the
motor makes a brief noise when I switch it, and taking the door panel off,
the quadrant flexes a little at the same time, so the ...
