Two Saab reviews21 Feb 2006 22:20 GMT5
I have two really nice Saab reviews from the Boston Globe:
The first is for the new 9-3 and voices our frustrations with GM:

The second is for the new 9-7x and, well, they said it was the ...
Safety Certificate Required - Ottawa, Ontario20 Feb 2006 12:50 GMT3
Good Day,
    I just purchased a 1994 Saab 900 S 2.5L V6 and I need to acquire a
safety certificate to register the vehicle.  There are only minor
issues that will prevent the vehicle from passing a conventional safety
Re: Re "Service Theft alarm"19 Feb 2006 18:10 GMT2
Wow! You (SCrowe) mean that if I find a Saab Technician willing to use his
Tech2 magic, this can be overcome by a software fix?
Will the dealer try to thwart this? Maybe a moonlighting tech or a jobber
would help.
Electrical problem19 Feb 2006 10:44 GMT1
About 2 weeks ago I was driving and my stereo and dashlights went out.
About 4 minutes later the check engine light came on and my car started
running very rough and was idling around 500 RPM.  I pulled over to the
side of the road and was giving it gas and after a couple of minutes
What websites/telephone numbers to find a used 9-3 in UK?18 Feb 2006 21:43 GMT3
I'm looking for a used 9-3. I'd be grateful for any information on
where to find one - recommended dealers (under £4k - no posh
showrooms), individuals, friends of friends, websites - absolutely any
way I can locate a suitable car. Preferably London but could view

trouble with directional (turn signal)18 Feb 2006 07:36 GMT6
I have a '91 Saab 900 and the directional is giving me some trouble.
The right directional works fine.  The left doesn't work at all.
The hazards also don't work properly.  The hazards cause the dash arrow
lights to light up solid.  Likewise, all the lights on the outside of
FA SAAB Club Newsleters18 Feb 2006 03:37 GMT2
Don't know if it is proper to post here but some might be interested.  I am
selling July 1982 through September 1991 SAAB Club of America Newsletters on
Ebay.  Item Number is 8039427571.  These contain a ton of technical info on
Sonetts, 95s, 96s, 99s and early 900s as well as ...
My '98 900 is eating tail-lights...18 Feb 2006 00:52 GMT3
OK - so maybe I should go read my manual again.. becuse there's a P21/5W
stamped on the piece where I put the bulb in... But I swear the manual
says 1157. Anyway they work for a few months but then the welds at the
end of the filiment seem to melt or unflex. The filiments look ...

99 9-3 Lost key17 Feb 2006 17:01 GMT5
A friend has a 99 9-3, and lost the key.  She said she went to the dealer
and said they would have to replace the whole anti theft system for $2,000.
This sounds a little crazy.  If my key in my 96 Mercedes is lost, it is
$200 for a new one.  Any suggestions?
19" wheels for SAAB Viggen?17 Feb 2006 16:58 GMT15
I have a 9-3 viggen... right now it has 17" wheels... can I get 19"
wheels on it?  What are the negatives and positives of doing so?
Thanks
Lyle
Cheap 1986 900S cars fpr parts or repair.17 Feb 2006 02:31 GMT4
I posted a couple of days ago, listing these cars for sale cheap.  Surely,
there's someone out there who's willing to take them off my hands.  I'd
really hate to relegate them to the scrapyard at this point -- each was a
daily driver until 1) I retired the 2-door because I got a ...

Gary Fritz, I'm curious how you made out. I'm thinking of tackling this
myself.

C900 dangling connector16 Feb 2006 04:17 GMT9
Just finished up the head gasket replacement on the '88 900S 16V, I was
pleased to find a nice big crack in the gasket between a coolant passage
and the cam chain galley, but everything else seemed to be in great
shape. Got it all finished up and driving tonight, runs great. ...
