How do I get a straight, even force to make the seal seat right?

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we were chit-chatting about 9000's,
turbos & the like? Well I picked up my 2.3l FPT Aero today & I promised to
tell you my conclusions...    :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Got a 2003 9-5 model... am thinking to install a GPS navigation in there...
Would be grateful for any advice on how to arrange that the cheapest...

Anyone have an idea as to what a white, soft foamy/sludge-like build up on
the end of the oil "dip-stick" could be?  I'm inclined to think it may be an
early indicator of a bad head gasket or a developing case of the dreaded
sludge...  FWIW, the car is a 5spd with 62K miles.  Full ...
