Any pipe smoking 9.5 drivers in the house?24 Apr 2006 15:22 GMT12
My '02 9.5 has no ash tray and is not exactly awash with handy spots to
rest a partially smokedand possibly still burning pipe of tobacco.  The
little change/glasses cubby hole thingy is too small to accept a pipe
and I'm not sure where I could safely/conveniently/aesthetically ...
97 ng900 sound, sid, wierd other stuff kapoot24 Apr 2006 14:08 GMT1
Don't know if this has been discussed, but all of a sudden, my sound system
doesn't work, the mpg and miles to empty don't work-just the outside temp
display.  Black panel doesn't black the instrument panel, adn the rheostat
just dims the heating/vent panel lights.  WTF?  Fuses are ...
Wiindscreen washer stuck24 Apr 2006 14:05 GMT3
My left windscreen washer did not spray fluid.
The problem was the little plastic T-part under the hood.
After removing this part and connecting the hose directly to the spray-head
it works fine again.
Radiator Fan is killing my battery!22 Apr 2006 03:35 GMT5
Hey everyone. I have a 1988 Saab 9000. After purchasing the vehicle
from the previous owner, I noticed that the radiator fan would stay on
after the car had shut off (i'm not sure if this is normal). some
months later, the fan switch went bad, and i replaced it. After

Jet-aircraft heritage evident in new Saab 9-5
The engineering excellence and association with jet aircraft is
definitely in evidence in both of Saab's lofty, new 9-5 models.

1991 Automatic Transmission Fluid?19 Apr 2006 02:51 GMT3
According to the manual recommended fluid is "Ford Spec M2C-33F/G".
The auto parts store found that it has been discontinued and the computer
does not give a substitution.
Anyone here solved this problem?
DI Direct Ignition Cassette RED.18 Apr 2006 05:51 GMT2
 I have a saab 93 (1999) turbo with a 2.0 litre engine. It has a RED
DI cassette on top of the valve cover.
I want to know if it has the same Direct Ignition cassette as the Saab
9000 Turbo Direct Ignition Cassette.  I am asking this because it is
Faulty Drivers Seat17 Apr 2006 20:59 GMT4
just bought a W reg 9-3 convertible which so far we love.  However one
niggle that has begun to annoy us is the drivers seat wont fold forward
when you lift the lever on the side and so makes it difficult for rear
seat passengers to get in and out.  The seat will happilly move ...

Gas Odor16 Apr 2006 21:35 GMT3
Where would one begin to look to find the reason for a gasoline odor inside
the car after it has been standing. It's a 1991, 900 - has been maintained
very well - 85,000 miles. The last service was a new water hose.
Thanks
C900 front calliper clonk16 Apr 2006 21:32 GMT8
OK I have the classic clonk on my front callipers when I stop and
reverse up and stop again.  I know it's a "feature" of the C900 but
it's getting worse.
What exactly is worn, and is it worth spending well over £100 to get

99 9-3 alternator removal - HELP!15 Apr 2006 17:48 GMT4
I'm in the middle of removing my alternator for rebuild. I have
everything disconnected and I removed the bottom hex (allen) long bolt
that bolts the alternator to the bracket, but I can't find the second
bolt for the life of me!
Mileage dropping on 9-5 Aero14 Apr 2006 21:40 GMT3
When I first got my '02 9-5 Aero, I tromped on the gas constantly.  I got
about 23 mpg in-town, and 28-32 on road trips.
Almost 4 years later I've got 65k miles on the car.  I decided I need to
drive a bit less aggressively so as to reduce my gas consumption.  So now,
Buying advice for a New Generation 90014 Apr 2006 17:05 GMT1
I am thinking about buying a new generation 900.  Perhaps a 94 or 95
(not sure of how many years these were made).  I'd like a to find a non
turbo model with a 5-speed manual transmission. I want something that
is fairly straighforward and not too difficult to maintain.
