OBDII P1171 code31 May 2006 12:57 GMT1
The SAAB OBDII code indicates a too lean mixture on acceleration.  Several posts indicate an oxygen sensor or vacuum leak problem can lead to this code.  My 1996 9000 Aero has 139K miles.  The DI and plugs were replaced at 127K mi, fuel pump and regulator at 110k miles, and both ...
Dead Key Fob Battery29 May 2006 18:59 GMT3
I have a Saab 2000 9-3 conv and got to it this morning to find that my
remote locking wouldn't work - unlocked the doors manually and tried
the ignition and 'zilch'.  (I'm a 'not very handy' female so bear with
me!)
LH Jetronic codes29 May 2006 14:13 GMT2
The "Check Engine" light illuminated on my 1991 9000T.  After pulling the
codes and using the chart from Townsend Imports, I found a code that wasn't
listed in the chart.  Maybe they added codes to the LH Jetronic 2.4.2, but
code "12241", not in the Townsend chart, appeared as ...

Replacing engine in '99 9-5 Saab 4cly 2.35 L turbo24 May 2006 21:13 GMT7
I noticed in my Haines manual that you could remove the transmission
without removing the engine. So would it be easer to remove tranny then
remove engine, install new engine then reinstall tranny?  Rather than
removing engine/transmission as a unit then mating new engine to old
Regular gas in a 9.5?24 May 2006 13:56 GMT39
I recently purchased a '02 9.5 Linear with 80K on it.  I'm friends with
the previous owner and know for a fact that she's never put anything
but regular (87 octane) gas in it and experienced no performance
problems save one time when it surged momentarily in 5th gear (it's a
FS: 9000 parts - Clean out my garage!!23 May 2006 20:06 GMT3
I found a few left-over, brand new parts for my SAAB 9000s in my garage.
Since I have no longer owned one of those for over a year I thought
I'd offer them up for sale here (at ridiculously low prices I might
add), just to get rid of them and get them into someone's hands that ...
Uncomfortable leather seats in '04 95 and now in '06 Combi.23 May 2006 19:39 GMT8
Hi,    We like to go for  weekend car trips but these leather seats are

uncomfortable it really is painful.  I've tried sitting on a pillow but
it doesn't help.  Any suggestions?  Should I get those bead seat things

Automatics23 May 2006 14:33 GMT1
Are there any inherent faults with an automatic transmission, as opposed to a manual
shift?
The reason i ask is i am on the search for a newer 9000 and while they have most of the
things i want, they dont have all
reverse light contact problem c900 auto trans selector23 May 2006 04:50 GMT1
The reverse lights on my white 900s are going intermittent and I'm certain
it's to do with the contact that engages them that's attached to the auto
transmission selector.
Can the contact positioning be adjusted? It it possible to buy a new
1994 900S, Dashboard, Climate control area.23 May 2006 02:10 GMT2
The knob selector for defroster/dash/floor control quit working. Can anyone
tell me how to get to the knobs? Do I have to remove that entire center
piece or do they come out as a group.. in either case, how?
Thanks
'92 900s Oil Leak under water pump / ABS sensor23 May 2006 01:57 GMT4
I've got a 2l 16v non-turbo. I just had the water pump changed. Now oil
is pouring out. I can't see exactly where from, but it is pooling in a
spot just under the water pump. My mechanic says it is a seal, and he
needs to pull the engine to fix it he wants $1300. I live in Germany,
