I have a 1989 Saab 900 16v NON-Turbo with 155K miles on it. Recently its begun to make some noises that appear to be related to the timing chain. I was hearing some random but frequent "pinging" noises when the engine was warm. The sort of sound you would get from

A while ago I posted about the clutch problem I was having with my 9000 after it's MOT. I'd taken it back to the garage and they quoted me between 500 and 600 quid. Thanks to the advice on here (basically try bleeding the clutch system) my car is running again........and it cost ...

| bad drivetrain sounds (c900) | 20 Jun 2006 21:17 GMT | 23 |
I noticed a new sound today from my 1992 900S. It's a sort of rhythmic clicking noise. It occurs only when the car is in gear with the clutch out. The frequency changes with engine RPM (and therefore wheel speed), and is roughly 4 or 5 per second around 1200 RPM. I was unable to ...

| Not so new new car? | 20 Jun 2006 15:45 GMT | 4 |
Does anyone have an opinion on this? I ordered from the dealer a 9-3 Aero - Combi - Maxed out. It's a nice car and I got what I think was a great deal from the dealer. To get it, they had to swap with another dealer.

| c900 cooling system issue on 1983 8VT | 20 Jun 2006 11:26 GMT | 7 |
I think the cooling system on my 1983 8VT has a problem. When I had the engine running yesterday the coiling system boiled over (fan still ran though), and what was strange was that all the hoses were hot except the small overflow hose after the engine had warmed up.

| What to check when buying a c900 | 15 Jun 2006 21:15 GMT | 4 |
As mentioned in my other post, I'm looking to buy a 900 SPG. When evaluating it, what mechanically should I make sure is in good working order? The one I'm eyeing is a 1990 with 118K miles on it. Tranny and oil pan are already being replaced. Thanks!

Just did a 240 mile run in 30 degree heatwave that has taken the UK by surprise. ACC on constantly all the way, no problem. About 20 minutes after parking up I moved the 9000 again to get to my beloved C900 which had a completely flat battery....another story I'm

| 2.0 Turbo Engine Overfilled with Oil | 13 Jun 2006 01:45 GMT | 24 |
My son just bought 1 97 900SE Turbo. I changed the oil about 2 weeks after he bought it from a GM dealership. I measured the oil and there was nearly 8 quarts in it, instead of 4.1. Could this have caused any damage?
