Reverse Lights Not working12 Jun 2006 21:45 GMT1
Hey All,
I have a Manual 1988 Saab 9000, and since I bought the car from a
friend, the reverse lights have not worked. I checked the bulbs,
replaced the Reverse light switch, and still nothing. Is their
NG 90012 Jun 2006 05:24 GMT11
Just purchased a 95 900S for my son to use in college.  At 70mpg there
is a mild-moderate steering wheel shimmy.  I'll get the wheels
balanced today.  But if that doesn't cure it...what's the next
diagnostic sequence?
ACC12 Jun 2006 02:17 GMT1
I have a 2001 9.5 turbo 4 door. The drivers side vent always blows cool air
when set. BUT the passenger side and rear vents blow hot air. I got hold of
a 2002 new car manual and followed the instructions to delete the settings
but the button combinations to reset is not the same. ...

I have a 96 NG 900s that believe it or not from reading this group) has
been a good car for me. 2.3 auto. 167k miles.  For about the last six
months Its been stalling out, but not always. It may do it 3 times in a
day and then never do it again for 2 months! Some times at idle it ...
9-3 gas cap & engine warning light10 Jun 2006 17:36 GMT2
I'm driving a 2003 Saab 9-3 where the engine warning light remains ON at
all times.  Four vists between two local Saab dealers has resulted in them
replacing the gas cap twice.  A diagnotic check (they plug the computer
into a panel under the steering wheel) each time has indicated ...
Has anyone ever figured out the CD changer interface?10 Jun 2006 17:30 GMT2
I'd like to add an XM radio to my 9-5 and don't have a CD changer in the
trunk.  Is there any way to plug an audio source into the interface on the
CD changer plug in the trunk?
looking for input re buying a used Saab10 Jun 2006 13:00 GMT2
Hi everyone, I'm new to the group ..
well anyway, since I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now I
thought I'd toss my thoughts in here and see whether anybody wants to
comment on them.
Replacing an engine in 1999 Saab09 Jun 2006 21:21 GMT17
Is there any way to replace a 1999 9-5 4 cyl. 2.35 L engine without
removing the transmission?
If not, what is the min. clearance I need under the bumper with  4" high
roller cart? Loss engine, due to turbo failure, 2 months after buying
Considering buying a used Saab 900 S09 Jun 2006 15:41 GMT10
I am seriously considering purchasing a used Saab 900 S.  Long story
(relatively) short, I just paid a fortune on a new vehicle for my
wife... and now would like to get myself something as well.  I'm
drawn to this particular car because of its combination of looks,
fun AMM anecdote09 Jun 2006 14:50 GMT1
Here's an interesting story regarding a recent experience with the air mass
meter in my 1992 900S: For about the last year, I experienced intermittent
Check Engine Lights (maybe once a month or two, at first). The frequency
gradually increased, until I was seeing the C.E.L. pretty ...
Saab 93 SE Convertible 5th bow cylinder leaking09 Jun 2006 12:29 GMT2
Hi,  I have a 2000 Saab 93 SE convertible and the driver side 5th bow
cylinder is leaking badly.  I  have already replaced it with one i
purchased from a savage yard.  When I got the one from the salvage yard
I check to see if there where any fluid leaks in the trunk, under the
95 towbar wiring08 Jun 2006 16:58 GMT16
Does anybody know whether a relay is required when wiring in the trailer
lights (just brake & indicators)?
As a matter of course I'd think isolating the electrics like this would
be a good way to go.
'85 900 CV/axle replacement08 Jun 2006 03:50 GMT14
I've got a split CV boot on the left side, on my '85 900.  A new axle is
only 66 bucks, cheaper than just the CV, so I'll probably be going with
that.  Any surprises in this process?  Seems like it'd be pretty
straightforward; pull the bottom ball joint, remove the castle nut &
'03 9-3:  Trunk lid emblem08 Jun 2006 02:58 GMT6
I need to replace the trunk lid emblem on my 2003 9-3.  Any pointers on
removing the old emblem?  (Is it attached with adhesive, with pins that
I access from inside the trunk - etc.).
Best regards,
