84' 900 Turbo20 Aug 2006 06:41 GMT3
I'm new to Saabs and I'm considering the purchase of an 1984 Saab Turbo. I
have 200K with meticulous service records. Transmission has been replaced.
Any advice on this purchase? What should I be looking for? What repairs is
this model know to need etc?
Saab 9-3 (2002) and a Baby Seat20 Aug 2006 01:28 GMT5
I did a quick search but most replys do not state two or four door
model.... We are looking at a 9-3 (either hatch or not, we have not
decided) four door for the new baby car. Any thoughts on fiting a car
seat? Most of the replys to other enquiries say it is hard to fit, is

Orca's cosmetic surgery ... Continued ...19 Aug 2006 21:34 GMT3
Hi all ... I popped in to see my mechanics this afternoon for an update on
my Orca (1989 T8). They're nearly finished with it ... Just a spit and
polish to go :)
Here she is now ... Quite a difference, eh?
9-3 Glass Sensor18 Aug 2006 15:11 GMT3
Last weekend we had a window smashed, which set off the alarm on our UK 2000
9-3 SE.
Last night we had two windows smashed and nobody heard the alarm... it's
very loud, so my suspicion is that it wasn't activated.
2002-9-3 AM Radio18 Aug 2006 03:35 GMT1
I've read many posts in here pertaining to AM radio problems on the
9-3. I have a 2002 9-3 (30K miles). The problem is a cutting in and out
of the AM radio. When it cuts out I can get the signal back by doing
one of the following:
9000 CS vs. Aero...what's the difference?17 Aug 2006 14:52 GMT32
I'd found a '97 9000 Aero that I was going to buy, but the seller was
less than motivated to be rid of it.  I then located a '97 9000 CS,
that's advertised as having the turbocharger.
What's the difference between the two cars?
Auto rain-sensor wipers on '02 9-5 Aero16 Aug 2006 18:58 GMT3
I finally put a new windshield on my 9-5 Aero -- the original had several
cracks in it, including one that happened at 25mph, when the car was a
month old.  Grr.
Anyway.  It doesn't rain all that often here, so I don't use the wipers

94 9000cse Power Brake Failure16 Aug 2006 00:42 GMT2
I've got a 94 9000 cse and the Power Brakes are no longer working.  It
is not the fluid, and the brake pads, calipers & rotors are fine.  But
determining exactly why the power has gone out has been unsucessful and
i am told that the reapir will cost more then the car!  any ...
replacement (or custom) 8V turbo exhaust manifolds16 Aug 2006 00:06 GMT1
Just curious if you can offer some advice. The exhaust manifold in my
8V
turbo car (1983 8V turbo non-APC and no oxygen sensor) that I'm
restoring is
My New Saab15 Aug 2006 22:19 GMT2
I'd like to introduce myself, as I've been lurking and researching for
the last couple weeks here regarding the NG900 I just bought! It's a 98
2.0 turbo with 137k on the odometer. Seems like it's been maintained
very well. I bought it from the second owner whom only put about 15k on
9.3 start problems15 Aug 2006 20:33 GMT9
I am having random starting problems w/ my 2000 9.3 SE w/ 90K miles.
It happens occasionally when I drive about 10 - 20 minutes stop for a
short while (5-15 minutes) turn it back on and it won't start. The key
turns and the electric panel charges, but nothing else.  It doesn't
9-5 Headlight problem.15 Aug 2006 18:19 GMT1
I have a 2000, 9-5 Saab Wagon.  I needed to adjust the horizontal aim of the
passenger headlight.  I accidentally ran the adjustment to the leftmost
position stop.  It seems the adjustment is stuck at the left most position.
When I turn the plastic adjustment screw I feel sense ...
