replacing Crank Position sensor29 Sep 2006 14:43 GMT1
A few weeks ago I bought a 1993 SAAB 9000 CDE, non-turbo, I got a
good deal because the previous owner said the engine dies when you run
it for more than about 20 minutes at normal engine temperature. He was
told by a mechanic that it is a crank position sensor malfunction.
location of CV boot 93 9000CSET28 Sep 2006 20:01 GMT1
I want to check the condition of the CV boot on my 93 9000CSET. I jacked up
the front drivers side and looked inside the front wheel well from the top.
I just want to make sure I'm looking at the right boot (is there more than
one boot in that location?). Does that sound like the ...

supposed to drive it?
2002 9-3 headlight adjustment28 Sep 2006 14:40 GMT2
Does anyone know how to make a vertical adjustment / alignment on the
headlights? Each light has a large plastic post on the back, but these
appear to be for horizontal adjustment, and I'm darned if I can find
anything that looks like the equivalent for vertical adjustment.

Gear Grinding28 Sep 2006 05:04 GMT9
My ethereal bliss over my recently purchased 97 9000 is tainted by one
concern: The gears grind when putting it in reverse, and occasionally
in 3rd. Putting it in first before pulling back to reverse eliminates
that problem, but I'm concerned about the infrequent 3rd gear

I found the jack, but I'm not sure how to use it.  Is there another
piece that screws onto it?  If so, what does it look like?
Thanks for any help.

Emissions & DIC25 Sep 2006 01:15 GMT6
Hello All.  Our '97 900SE failed it's emissions inspection; specifically,
the code for a faulty cam-shaft sensor was read (gas cap passed and ppm NOX
passed).  After the local independent Saab specialist re-set the
codes/computers, the Check Engine light stayed "off" for about 20 ...

Saab 900 classic brake light switch23 Sep 2006 20:13 GMT3
My son has a '89 Saab 900. Early this year I replaced the brake light
switch. The faulty switch was sometimes sticking ON causing the battery to
run down when parked. The replacement was a new switch from eeuroparts.com.
Now months later, my son reported that the brake light was ...
exh light 1985 900s23 Sep 2006 13:17 GMT4
my exhaust light has been on for awhile now.  manuel states light comes on
every 30k miles as a reminder.  And it does not indicate a failure.
I did replace a pipe awhile back.  (piece just ahead of muffler)
is this light going to go out by itself?
'94 900S Rear wheels not verticle22 Sep 2006 17:43 GMT13
My '94 900S has rear wheels that are not verticle. In fact, the tires
are worn down the the steel on the inside and the outside edges are
almost like-new.
Is this a common problem?
