I'm having a starting problem with my '95 9000CSE. It takes 4 or 5
tries before it will actually start, mostly after the car has been
sitting awhile - anywhere from a few hours to overnight.
It cranks and sounds like it's about to turn over but it doesn't.

I just put in a new thermostat but still there is no heat. I bought
this car used a few  months ago & this is the first time I've tried to
use the heater. The old thermostat failed to open when tested in 190
degree (F)  hot water. What else could cause the heater to blow cold

I have replaced the fuel sending unit and the seal mounted in the top of the

Hi, Here's my problem: I have a 1987 Saab 900 coupe with power windows.
For some reason when I close the passenger side window the engine
stops, there is no dimming of lights or blowing a fuse the engine just
quits running as long as I'm pushing the button to close the window.

I've noticed that, recently, when there's not a CD in the car's CD
player it continuously fools itself into thinking I'm inserting one.
The insertion mechanics start working and this has the annoying side
effect of turning off any other input source I'm currently using.

I purchased my first Saab last month and it has been running good
except for some issues that I would like some information on.
First, it leaks oil and i can't really pinpoint where it is coming
from. The previous owner did say "it burns some oil"

Any one interested in colored silicone water hoses for the c900? There
is a company in Ohio that makes custom molded silicone-rubber water
hoses, but they do not have any for the c900 and so they would have to
make dies to mold them.

Does anyone know the Bosch manufacturer's part number for the distributor in
a 16v 2.0l c900, model years 86-93/94 conv? (Not the Saab OEM part number
which is 533 76 96, but the corresponding Bosch manufacturers part number.)

Does anyone know where I can find detailed information on the stereo
that comes on this model?  I am hoping that it can take CDC's with MP3's
on them, but can't find much detail in the manual that comes with the car.

My son has a 97 Saab SE 2.0 Turbo 900 and it's been getting hot on him,
he's keeping the coolant level right and all. He's away at college so
our regular mechanic can't help him. He's got to use the car to get

2.3t SE with 135,000 miles.  The car drives well but when first start up
