How to kill your SAAB28 Nov 2006 20:33 GMT1
I'd like some of the seasoned owners of SAABs to list some sure-fire ways to
destroy your car. Probably neglect is the biggest killer, but I'd like to
offer another -the other person (wife, companion, daughter) who drives your
car.  I wonder how many cars loose half their life ...

Does this auto trans have a dipstick? Grandfather cannot find a

the fluid level.  Is there any truth to this?  Need input...

Hello and Goodbye from me!
Earlier this year I posted to this newsgroup about disabled
discrimination on Haverhill Town Council.
It was on this newsgroup that I met legend and warrior Peter Turtill,
SAAB..radical modifications?24 Nov 2006 18:13 GMT9
Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried to drop a V8 into a SAAB?  It
probably wouldn't work- but imagine the old Lexus SC400's v8 inside a SAAB
9-5..

New 9-3 service indication.23 Nov 2006 13:58 GMT1
A colleagues new 9-3 1.9 TID 150 has got a service indication on it, the
main part says about 400 days to the next service, but there's also an oil
indication, that seems to be going down more rapidly, as though he's going
to have to replace the oil well before the 400 days.
Wheel bearing22 Nov 2006 18:32 GMT10
Hello again,
About 6 months ago I had to have a wheel bearing sorted out on my H reg Saab
9000. About 3 months later it didn't 'feel right'. Now it seems as bad as
ever. Is it usual for this to happen in such short a time?
My 90,000 mile service21 Nov 2006 23:55 GMT3
The 2000 9-5 SE I recently purchased was 5000 miles from the 90000 mile

the Saab dealership could find anything wrong.  To my surprise ..nothing was
wrong. Correction: One of the keys is worn,  so SAAB will ...

I need a little diagnosis advice before I start pulling pieces off.
I left my sweet little '77 99 for about 10 months overwintering in the
high desert.  When I got back to it, the engine was siezed solid and it
took a lot of PB Blaster, time, ATF, and more time to free up the

Apologies in advance to Fred W, who is a non-stereotypical BMW
driver... now onto my rant:
What is it with these dickheads ? I came around a cloverleaf ramp
