Does it make sense that the belt tensioner in a 2002 9.5 with a 2.3t engine with 50,000 miles makes an extremely loud grinding noise when it suddenly goes bad?

I heard that this engine has or had some problems, like "stalling", sudden powerincrese with same throttle setting etc. Looks like an electrical problem. Anybody has some more information?

am a newbie owner of a '97 900se turbo hatchback 5dr. Car's been running fine so far but coupla days ago I noticed that coolant had leaked. Found that coolant was leaking from the heater core box so cut the coolant hoses leading to the heater core and joined the 2 lines

The car is 9000 CSE, year 1997. Winter is here and the gas struts holding up the hatch are showing their age. I got the usual broom handle in the car ;-) Anyone used after market ones as replacements, e.g.

Something weird with my '06 9-3 Aero sport combi. Driving at 100 Km/h gives around 12 l/100 Driving at 120 Km/h gives 11 l/100 and 130-140 average gives 10 l/100. Those numbers comes from 2 runs : one of around 1800 Km in 2 days and the 600 Km today.
