2002 2.3t belt tensioner loud noise13 Dec 2006 01:10 GMT7
Does it make sense that the belt tensioner in a 2002 9.5 with a 2.3t engine
with 50,000 miles makes an extremely loud grinding noise when it suddenly
goes bad?

right drive vs. left drive12 Dec 2006 06:56 GMT20
I'm thinking of importing a Toyota Townace 5-spd, diesel from GB to the US.
I'm wondering how difficult it would be to adjust to the left drive. With
right drive you brake & gas with right foot, clutch with left. Is left drive
the exact opposite (brake & gas with left & clutch ...
Saab 9-5 V6 3.0 Diesel11 Dec 2006 23:59 GMT6
I heard that this engine has or had some problems, like "stalling", sudden
powerincrese with same throttle setting etc. Looks like an electrical
problem.
Anybody has some more information?
1997 900 SE turbo overheating11 Dec 2006 17:11 GMT1
am a newbie owner of a '97 900se turbo hatchback 5dr. Car's been
running fine so far but coupla days ago I noticed that coolant had
leaked. Found that coolant was leaking from the heater core box so cut
the coolant hoses leading to the heater core and joined the 2 lines
82 Degree Thermostat in Winter?11 Dec 2006 05:40 GMT4
The 9000 I bought a couple of months ago has a 82 degree thermostat in
it. I'm in Vermont, where we'll probably have some sub-zero F days this
winter. So far I've driven in 5 degrees F with everything seeming
pretty normal, although the temp needle rides about a quarter-inch from
Hatch/boot lid gas struts08 Dec 2006 20:02 GMT8
The car is 9000 CSE, year 1997.
Winter is here and the gas struts holding up the hatch are showing their
age.  I got the usual broom handle in the car ;-)
Anyone used after market ones as replacements, e.g.
Gas Consumption08 Dec 2006 18:24 GMT17
Something weird with my '06 9-3 Aero sport combi. Driving at 100 Km/h gives
around 12 l/100 Driving at 120 Km/h gives 11 l/100 and 130-140 average gives
10 l/100. Those numbers comes from 2 runs : one of around 1800 Km in 2 days
and the 600 Km today.
Green Light for Go!07 Dec 2006 21:15 GMT4
I have a fairly straight forward question for those of you in the know,
what is the technique of least grief for changing the overhead
dashlights (the two green ones that illuminate the instrument panel
face, not the ones behind) on a 1990 900i? Only the left one is out so
97 9000 Turbo: Ticking in Engine Compartment07 Dec 2006 20:00 GMT6
I've read a few posts and answers about this, but am still not sure
what it is. Symptoms: Ticking that I can hear in the cabin, coming from
the engine compartment, and from outside with hood closed. Can't always
hear it so well when I pop the hood because of the engine noise. Can't
1991 Saab 900 Seat Problem06 Dec 2006 14:16 GMT8
Anyone have any suggestions on solving this: I'm trying to return my two
door back to hatchback mode. However, the back seat seems stuck really bad
and will not pull out as the first step. I did have a very heavy passenger
in the seat - would that cause it as I never had the ...

I want to know if you can replace the Halogen's with Xenons.  I can't
believe how difficult it is to get an answer on the web.

Turning off TCS05 Dec 2006 21:18 GMT4
I've been bitten by the pesky TCS on my 93 9000CSET. My mechanic replaced
some valve and it's cured for now. He says there's no way to turn off TCS
permanently. Is that true?
Cosmetic Rear Fender/Bumper Repair05 Dec 2006 01:31 GMT1
Hello all.  Some bonehead (no offensive to any boneheads in the group)
backed into our 2001 steel grey  9-3SE; leaving deep gouges and numerous
scuff/scrapes across the right side of the rear plastic fender (down to the
base black plastic [why don't they color impregnate plastic ...
