Is any subscriber to this group going to the SAAB festival in Trollhattan in June? Have you been there before? What are the chances of buying spares for a three-year-old 9-5 and are they really a good bargain? Rgds

| '89 900 Randomly Pulls Slightly Left or Right at Highway Speed | 31 Mar 2007 00:04 GMT | 10 |
The last time I had this happen was on my 87 9000 & it was due to a worn ball joint. I jacked up the front end of the 900 & both wheels felt tight so I'm wondering what else could cause the random pulling. Could it be a worn steering rack? Any suggestions are greatly

| Convertible top very slow when opening and closing... | 24 Mar 2007 13:08 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1999 9.3 Convertible with 82K miles. Lately, when I retract or tract the top it operates very slowly and the mechanism seems to be overworking. Are there measures I can take to fix this issue, or can only a professional mechanic handle this issue.

Hi. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this problem. I own a 2005 9-5 (50,500 miles). On a recent trip, the engine started surging, losing power, the engine light came on, then the engine quit. After resting the car a few minutes, it started up and we went another 30 miles

I have a 1999 9-3 with about 200K on it. It's been running ok so far, but yesterday I started it in the morning (-10 C) and let it warm-up for about 5 minutes. I could hear the RPM go down as the "choke" was coming down, and then it

| Squeak | 16 Mar 2007 00:44 GMT | 2 |
The boot lid of my 9000 (hatch back) squeaks quite badly when I open it or close it. Tried spraying some oil (WD40) in the hinges but it made no difference. So I am left with the rubber seals (and given the loudness it has to be the seals).

| Why the number 9? | 12 Mar 2007 19:24 GMT | 16 |
I've wondered this for a while now. What's the signifigance to the number 9 in Saabs naming convention? All their cars seem to feature a number 9 in the title....900, 9000, 93, 95.....
