Hi. We have a friend  who's 9000 "will start right up first thing in the
morning but after it warms up it will not idle. I give it gas and it clears
up. If I turn it off it will start right up, but if I turn it off and let it

Until today I have never ever touched a Saab.
Is $3000 a good price for a '97 non-turbo Saab 900s.
Good tires, body etc.  The only thing I was told (I'm no mechanic)
that one headlight motor is broken.  130,000 miles.

I know this is old stuff, but I would like some input (hopefully informed)
on current thinking, now that gas prices have skyrocketed and there is a
real financial significance that just didn't exist "in the olden days".

So far (knock on wood) I'm delighted with my 2000 9-5 (v6).  My
sister-in-law drives a 95 Buick Le Sabre which is dying, so she is looking
to replace it with something.  I'm not sure having another SAAB in the
driveway is a good idea , but she likes my 9-5 and I notice a number ...
