| Misfire any thoughts | 29 Jun 2007 08:35 GMT | 8 |
The car is 9000, 2.0 LPT, year 1997, 100K miles on the clock. It showed some random misfire a week or so ago. Two days later took it to the SAAB dealer who could not fix (not enough time), but replaced some split rubber pipes relating to the turbo (?). They think the

| Clicking sound from under car -- wheels? | 28 Jun 2007 18:52 GMT | 7 |
I hear a loud clicking sound off-and on when driving. Sounds like a rock stuck on a tire, but looked at all and don't see anything. Any ideas? have a 1992 Saab Turbo convertible. Thanks.

| Front discs | 28 Jun 2007 17:43 GMT | 8 |
I need to change my front discs on my 9000, but according to the Haynes manual, it appears I'll have to disconnect the brake line to the calipers to do it. However, I've stuck my head in the wheel arch & it looks like all I need to do is undo 2 bolts behind the disc to remove the ...

| Fog lights | 28 Jun 2007 17:35 GMT | 3 |
When I removed the plastic cover under the front end to access the fog light, I found that the bulb will not come out of the device that holds it. The old fog light bulb wont break loose of the metal thing it plugs into. Any tips or suggestions?

| 93 9000 CSET vs 2005 Infinity G 35 | 28 Jun 2007 17:32 GMT | 5 |
I just sold my house, got a little extra cash burning a hole in my pocket so I thought I'd treat myself to a new car. I've been researching the luxury-mid luxury market - everything from BMW 745i to Lexus ES to Infinity G35 - and settled on the G35 as the ideal combination of ...

| Wheel Width/Tyre Width | 27 Jun 2007 17:51 GMT | 8 |
Guys ... It's that old wheel width/tyre width question again. SAAB classic 900s have 5.5" wide wheels and while the standard ratio is 195/60, some people fit 205/55s. Personally, I don't think they look right on 5.5s, but ...

| SAAB Transmission Problem | 27 Jun 2007 12:49 GMT | 1 |
I've read what I can without much luck - and really I'm a SAAB newbie, so please be gentle. I was coming home from work in my 9-5 Linear (2002, 70k miles) when it decided to not want to stay in gear any longer. So I crept to a halt

| CV Joint Replacement or 1996 Saab 9000 | 26 Jun 2007 15:26 GMT | 5 |
When I turn left, I hear a scraping sound from the left front wheel. How expensive is it to replace a CV joint? Is it a big job? Thanks.

| 2003 Saab 95 | 26 Jun 2007 11:45 GMT | 1 |
I took my car in for retaining clip recall, but they told me that they noticed that the ignition lock cylinder was sticking so they applied lubricate and that should help. And now my car won't start. It starts and car checking process passes and SID displays " checked ok" but

| '97 900 SE Turbo - Brake light problem | 23 Jun 2007 23:29 GMT | 7 |
I'm hoping someone here may know how to troubleshoot this. When I started the car the other morning, the "Brake Light Failure" message came up. I immediately drove to Kragen's and bought new bulbs. Replacing the bulbs didn't fix the problem. So I replaced the

| 97 9000T temperature gauge stays low | 22 Jun 2007 04:07 GMT | 6 |
Driving my 97 9000T today, on this 80 degree day. I'm noticing my temperature needle sitting about a quarter inch above the blue when I'm going up a hill and expect the needle to be climbing a little. So I continue to watch the needle and it stays about the same. I stop the

| I am rebuilding an engine for an 1986 900 T and need some suggestions | 20 Jun 2007 18:57 GMT | 2 |
My 3-speed auto transmission is going on my '86 900 T and it will cost an arm and a leg to fix. I have a spare engine from an '85 900 SPG with low mileage that I have decided to swap it out so that I have a 5-speed manual.

| New model 9-5? | 20 Jun 2007 18:00 GMT | 2 |
I just noticed an old AutoCar magazine on a colleague's desk from August 2006, talking about a new 9-5. The article suggested it would feature in a car show in the first half of this year and be launched later this year.
