| Wrong fluid - help! | 30 Aug 2007 13:13 GMT | 7 |
I just topped off my brake fluid with transmission fluid. Bad idea, I was not paying attention. I suctioned out what I could and then filled it with brake fluid - DOT3. Then I realized it should be DOT4. Suctioned that out too.

| 1996 Saab 900S | 28 Aug 2007 01:41 GMT | 5 |
We are looking for a first car for our 18-year-old son. A local used car lot has a 1996 900S with 108,000 miles. Our son really likes the car. I'm unfamiliar with Saabs. What sort of maintenance issues might I expect from this car? It has an automatic transmission. Also, ...

I have just become the proud owner of a 1998 9-5SE 2.3 The thing is, is that the previous owner didnt have the handbook, so i am asking where the best place to source one is, here in the UK. I see a 2000 model year on Ebay, but, how different in terms of changes made between the 2 ...

| 900 Turbo Water pump | 22 Aug 2007 18:15 GMT | 6 |
My engine started making noises a couple of weeks ago and this week was louder. Sounded like bearings in the alternator or similar. With water leaking now I assume the worst with the water pump. Does anyone know what the cost to have a mechanic repair it might run?

| Safe but wrecked! need input | 20 Aug 2007 23:05 GMT | 11 |
I bought my 2002 Linear sedan about two months ago. Yesterday an SUV hit the Saab from the passenger side with impact from the wheel well forward. My husband, who was driving, sustained a minor scratch to his knee. The Saab itself is a mess. The SUV, comparatively

| The 'jabberwocky' returns from the smash repairer! | 19 Aug 2007 11:49 GMT | 18 |
I picked up my red 89 16V c900 back from the smash repairer on Wednesday after A$4300 worth of insurnance-covered (except for the excess) repair work! Major parts replaced were the A-pillar (not sure if that's new but I think it is), driver's side door (good used), driver's side ...

| 900s fascia adaptor | 19 Aug 2007 02:36 GMT | 2 |
http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?partno=CT24SA01 i'd like a fascia adaptor for my 900s "Talladega" (R reg - 1997). The original unit (with cassette player) is kind of unwanted as it barely works (tuner randomly plays - could be an aerial problem however - CD

| 2004 9-5 Aero Headlight Dimmer Switch Inop | 18 Aug 2007 15:45 GMT | 6 |
My headlight dimmer switch stopped working. If I pull on the switch to go to high beams, the lights will go high until I let go of the switch. It does not hold them on high beam. How pricey of a repair am I looking at? Does the steering when have to come off or is it a

| NE Saab Owners Club page is down? | 18 Aug 2007 02:30 GMT | 2 |
I was just strolling down my links page (gratuitous self promotion: http://jerem43.home.att.net/links.htm) and I came to the New England Saab Association web page and it was down. There is only a place holder there which asks for the main page to be loaded.

| SAAB 9-5 climate control? | 16 Aug 2007 13:58 GMT | 7 |
Today I took our 2001 Aero 9-5 with manual tranny out to run errands. Driving down the highway, it is throwing heat. Outside temp reads 78 (and climbing because I am losing altitude as I head towards Denver from 2000 feet above it) and it is not like the A/C is not working, it is

The A/C on my SAAB 9000 T is not working so it hasn't been driven too much in the summer. Only on those occasional cold, cloudy days west of Denver. The other day was one of those so I decided to take it. The SRS light

| saab 900 electric problems? | 10 Aug 2007 20:10 GMT | 8 |
I know old Saabs have oil leakage issues but do they also have serious electric problems - expensive to have fixed? Heard this recently from a mechanic relative both to a non-functioning horn and heated driver's seat. Greta
