Saab story here.30 Sep 2007 16:38 GMT10
I've been a Saab owner since the early 90's (I'm on my 2nd Saab) and I
think this will probably be the last Saab.  As much as I've loved both
my 900S and my 9-3 SE convertible, I cannot stand how expensive it is
to keep a Saab.  I didn't have as many problems with my 900S as I have

Oxygen sensor28 Sep 2007 18:31 GMT2
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the 02 sensor on my
87 900 turbo Conv.?  I must be blind because the manual tells me it's
right in front of me when I open the hood.  Is it under something I
have to move first?
Intermittent engine vibration28 Sep 2007 08:02 GMT12
I have a 1995 900S with an intermittent engine vibration.  It appears to
be related only to engine speed and it comes and goes.  Here are my
observations:
1.  I notice the vibration mainly through the gear shift lever and the

So Long and Thanks for all the Fish27 Sep 2007 02:52 GMT2
It is with a heavy heart and much regret that I'm leaving the Saab
world and on course this forum. I've sold my Genuine Saab stage 3 '94
CSE (or as I call it the 9000 Viggen). At 156k it is finally time to
say goodbye. It will be the 1st time in 15 years that I'll be without a

When buying a Saab24 Sep 2007 09:03 GMT2
Apologies for the broad base question.  I currently own a 1988 Saab
900.  When purchased it was and still is in pretty bad shape.  So I
really do not have a good baseline to compare another car.  What is
with the transmission?  I read for sale ads from private owners

160,000 kilometers and are reasonably priced, maaybe a little too
reasonably priced. does anyone have any advice on these cars? Are they

9-5 questions on engine oil16 Sep 2007 13:29 GMT5
A friend bought a 9-5, 2.0 LPT, year 2000, with 133k miles on it.
The oil - the little bit I can get on the dipstick - looks suspect for
dryness/smokiness (sludge?).  Level is low .. the car has gone
unserviced for 16k miles.  Supposingly it is on fully synthetic.  With

Just moved to central upstate NY. Any recommendations for mechanics? I know
there's someone in Albany 75mi east but I'd prefer something closer.
