Starter Woes31 Jan 2008 21:02 GMT2
So I was having a nice dinner with my roomate, and the time came to go
home. I put the key in the ignition and nothing, try again...nothing.
I've replaced the battery and checked all the immediate cables.
Anyone have any clues as to what part is malfunctioning?
Some Used 9-3 Input31 Jan 2008 20:37 GMT12
OK,
Thank you all very much for your input on my last post.  I have found
a car I am considering buying, possibly this week.  It is a 2002 9-3
Convertible (SE), with the sports package.  This car is loaded with

Used Saab 9-3 Convertible28 Jan 2008 03:45 GMT11
I am looking at a couple Saab 9-3 Convertible SE vehicles, between the
years 2002 and 2003.  I test drove one today and the engine light was
on, and it seemed as though the gas gauge was malfunctioning.
Additionally, the car seemed to hesitate when the accelerator was
Dreaded DI cassette27 Jan 2008 13:54 GMT1
Almost no symptoms, only occasional slight hesitation when starting
in the morning; I put that down to cold weather starting. I did have
some worry because the DI had been there for 80,000 miles since last
change. I now kick myself for not having a spare in the boot. It had
2001 2.0 Turbo Aero 9-327 Jan 2008 11:47 GMT3
Two questions:
I've noticed my key fob is slowing down a little - I'm assuming its a simple
unscrew and a battery replacement off the shelf?
Also, are Saabs known for a little rattle underneath - when driving with the
Saab 93 Keyfob Immobiler failure26 Jan 2008 02:51 GMT2
Hi, I recently purchased my Saab with only 1 keyfob so i decided t
order a new one through a Saab dealer.  He programmed the new an
existing key fob.  As well, the original one had recently (onl
twice) seemed like the battery was weakining so they also replace
9-5 alarm25 Jan 2008 04:56 GMT3
I have an '00 9-5 Aero and am getting periodic "service theft alarm"
prompts on the SID. When the car is parked and locked, the alarm will
periodically activate without provocation.
The dealer - who is usually excellent - can't find anything wrong and
Have Saab reintroduced hatchback yet?22 Jan 2008 20:21 GMT290
I lost interest in Saabs about five years ago when they stopped making
hatchbacks. Have they reintroduced them yet? It was their best feature!
What the heck is going on with the bibilical quotes?19 Jan 2008 21:22 GMT5

West Yorkshire SAAB who? West Yorkshire SAAB Enthusiasts, that's who.
See: http://www.pjgh.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/saab/index.html#wyse
So ... who's that then? Well, it's those of us who live in West
Yorkshire (a county in the UK, for those not in the know) who have
New with problem19 Jan 2008 17:34 GMT2
Hi all,
Finally got off my arse and decided to track down a saab newsgroup.
My love is an 88 9000 Turbo which is just about to turn 300000Km's. She
only has one glitch and that is a mild electrical problem where the
Knock through steering wheel18 Jan 2008 22:38 GMT10
I have just purchased a 2004 9-5 2.0T Vector after loving a 9000CS for
the last 7 years. Car is great except for a very slight knock through
the steering wheel at very slow speeds when applying and releasing the
brakes. Thought this may be a lower ball joint except the mileage ...
Wipers for Saab 2006 9-3 Aero Combi18 Jan 2008 21:24 GMT7
I have a Saab 2006 9-3 Aero combi and need to replace the wipers.  Does
anyone know what the best replacement choice is?  I've seen Bosch Micro
Edge, Bosch Excel+, Bosch Winter Blade, Nipon, and Denso Endurovision.
What's the best one?
Buying an old (1980-1983) Saab good idea?18 Jan 2008 12:56 GMT62
What can I expect if I buy such a car and what will
be the best type if there is any choice.
Can such a engine run on LPG and what mileage will
I get on petrol?
